Well after reading reviews and experiencing the bar gave them a two star because bartender was nice. They didn’t know how to make a 7and 7.The food was mediocre California roll was kinda frozen. It’s under Condos so I’m guessing that’s why they don’t want loud noise outside.
It was cool last minute discovery on my end! Quick service and wasn't thrown together. Alot of food and reasonably priced. Will be coming back
Oysters looked great but I've been in the bathroom since yesterday. I'm still throwing up. I have been for the last couple hours. Not sure it was the problem. Oyster tased fresh and had no odor, so I don't know what happened.
I held my daughters 23 birthday party here when I tell you the food was so good . The karaoke room was perfect n private. We did Trap Karaoke & I bragged 2 numerous ppl about the awsum time we had. This Place Don’t Owe Me Nothing Babeee!!!
I used to love Poseidon for the simple fact that it's one of THE ONLY places open late enough in New Orleans to satisfy an after hours hunger attack or late night craving with something more substantial than fried chicken or gas station finger foods; but rather, halfway decent sushi and even chargrilled oysters if your in the mood for something decadent. But last night I was really rubbed the wrong way by my pick up order experience. I was excited to find that after 1030pm the poke i was craving was actually attainable, with a menu description of seaweed salad, mango, eel, salmon, tuna and asparagus ?. I arrived early and decided to have a look at the menu they had at the register while waiting. After reading the description I added a green salad to my order: "spring mix, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, ranch or ginger dressing" i asked if I could have one of each dressings which they quietly charged me extra for... When i got my order i drove straight home (about 15 mins) eager to sit down and satiate my grumbling belly, only to find that the "greens salad" was actually a handful of pale iceberg lettuce and nothing more, apart from the single ginger dressing (the upcharged ranch was forgotten). Very upsetting, considering i was looking forward to prefacing my meal with some fresh greens and veggies ?On to the poke bowl, it was slightly small but the fish was fresh enough. The "mango" however was some kind of dehydrated, or previously frozen mango chunks that had been thawed/rehydrated into a flavorless sponge like substance. When i called to inform the manager about my disappointing salad he told me it's because they ran out of tomato and 'could i just eat it that way?' How about before handing someone their order u disclose that fact rather than sending them home with something that is not even close to what was advertised?? I explained i was already across town and tired, and could they just offer me a credit for another time but he told me I must keep the salad and bring it back for an refund. Needless to say I am annoyed and will probably be while before i visit them again especially considering the 15 drive uptown is hardly worth the $6 refund. I would not recommend going to this place for poke or any kind of fresh salad, however i stand by their chargrilled oysters and late night sushi if its the only thing open.
Had some hibachi, salad with ginger sauce, and veggie spring rolls. I have to say I was impressed. The ginger sauce for the salad was delicious, and the hibachi was extremely tasty as well, I didn't even want any sauce on the side ?. The rolls were so beautifully soft and fluffy inside. The service was great, quick, and we were tended to oh so kindly. The prices are fair, not too cheap, but also not as pricey as others.
We had a reserved party in the karaoke room the mic's we're Dead!, Ordering food was a hassle! Have got they food the other half had had to get there's to go!! Due to the $30 per person. The lemon pepper wings were hard no taste, the rice horrible!! The room was Hot ! They brought a little fan for a room full!! The only thing was enjoyable was the time spent with family.
The front staff was slow and didn't seem to know what they were doing. Our karaoke room wasn't in the best shape. Took awhile before everything was working correctly. Our food was great but a bit over priced. However Our server was amazing and made our time highly enjoyable.
Really decent food. Price wasn't too bad. Staff was super friendly. I'll be back
We tried Poseidon for the first time for delivery, the menu looked good and had everything we wanted. We ordered the shrimp gyoza, chicken fried rice, and a Rock n Roll sushi roll. The shrimp gyoza were a bit strange tasting, the chicken fried rice was bland, and the rock n roll was lackluster. Overall, not terrible, but not worth the price.
