Good sports bar. Loved the dog friendly atmosphere.

Great neighborhood bar to spend some time meeting folks & enjoying Hemingway Daiquiris !! Stop in soon!!

Laid back atmosphere & patrons.

Fantastic little neighbourhood bar.Great atmosphere and the drinks are cheap.Get your picture on the wall by downing a shot of Malort

I wanted to give this bar five stars and should, because the drinks and atmosphere are wonderful. However, my sister will no longer go there with me because the bartender was rude and insisted on putting a picture of her on the wall to embarrass her. I truly believe this bar has potential but the bullying regarding photos of people drinking Malort is bringing down the vibe. Overall, the outside seating and nice owners are a refreshing change after Cutters, but the last thing the Marigny needs is a bar with staff acting like it’s Chicago.Great beers and selection of spirits, nice owners, but the Malort Polaroid bullying (and Malort in general) needs a serious review. My sister and I were born here and she is still a local and will no longer meet me there.- I have not heard back so I sent an emailHello,I am deeply saddened that as much as I enjoyed my initial experience at your bar, which has a good selection of spirits and is an amazing revamp from Cutters, I cannot patronize your establishment because my sister is actually going to a therapist. She is a lovely human being and had not been out much since COVID19 happened, and she was just trying to be friendly and try Malort. While I do appreciate Malort, I also think taking photos of women and putting them on the wall when the women don’t want their photos displayed is poor hospitality. I am offering this critique and suggesting that it’s made extremely clear that your policy to only drive display photos that make people (especially women) look as terrible as possible be explained before the bartender starts taking pictures. It is in the interest of privacy and not allowing body shaming that this practice be explained. I do appreciate the fact that dogs are treated so well and enjoyed taking my mutt to your establishment, but unfortunately, my sister is mortified by her experience and her picture being on the wall. I sincerely think y’all have good intentions but do need to make right with the local community and clearly ask for consent before displaying shameful images of customers. No offense to Malort, but can you please meet with me so I can identify the photo of my sister and have it removed from the display?I have frequented many bars nationally and managed a few in Chicago, and I have never seen a bartender humiliate a customer to such an extent. Please revise your training of bar staff and instruct them to clearly ask for consent before taking and displaying photo of people.I trust you will do the right thing and that I can return and enjoy a beer with my dog.

I love the dog friendly atmosphere. Great vibe overall. I would give 5 stars but I’m really disappointed that I let someone buy me a shot of something and the bartender took my picture and put it on the wall. If I’d known my picture would be on the wall, I would never have agreed to do a shot. The beer selection is great but I’d rather go to Anna’s (the old Mimis) where nobody will take my picture twice and take a picture with me looking stupid WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Apparently I looked too cute in the first picture and now a horrible picture of me is on the wall, and I did not consent to this. I might come back if someone will promise me that the male bartender will not bully women and will be upfront and ask for consent before taking a terrible photograph. People don’t go to bars to be humiliated. Especially when I’ve barely been to bars since covid, and I was so humiliated I just paid my tab and left.

This felt like a neighborhood bar until the bartender treated me like a tourist and insisted on taking Polaroid pictures of me when an unknown person bought me a shot of Malort. I love Malort and was coerced into being photographed at an in opportune moment. I actually smile when drinking Malort and do not care to be photographed out of context. I wish I remembered the bartenders name. Very short almost shaved hair. If there’s an incentive for taking photos, it’s unkind to the bartender and the locals. I’ve lived here 23 years and the whole Malort photo made me feel unwelcome for the first time. And I lived and worked on that block and would never be as rude as he was. It’s more a sign of the neighborhood declining and having no place for locals than a critique of Malort, which I like. Please train your bar staff better and allow locals to pop in without being subjected to unwelcome attention

As a frequent patron, I highly recommend this bar for good people, chill vibes, and awesome pop up food. Be cool. Trust the bartenders, be nice, and you’ll have a great experience.. #Malortorbust

Fun bar where dogs are more than welcome and where they have Malort. Friendly staff, good drinks in a nice part of town.

My wife and I don't feel comfortable here. It's a weird vibe. Bar tenders play favorites with people they know and service is inconsistent. Have heard similar stories from other locals
