This restaurant is hands down one of the best restaurants I have ever visited. The atmosphere is great, staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is made with fresh ingredients and the taste is perfection!!! The pizza taste so authentic, the red snapper was seasoned perfectly. Everything was great. You will not regret visiting this restaurant! Sorry for the dessert photo, it was so good we forgot to take a photo before almost finishing it ?
We had a salad, asparagus and pizza at Paladar, it was all very nice and a lovely environment. Would definitely recommend, but it’s worth driving or getting a taxi there - the neighbourhood was a bit sketchy. Really nice one inside though!
Creative dishes done fantastically well!! This was a great dining experience. Every dish was phenomenal. Definitely try the squid ink pasta and dessert!It's well worth it if you are into craft drinks, unique dishes, and a laid-back/hip atmosphere. I really enjoyed that the food was mind blowing but the vibe wasn't up tight. Enjoy ?
This was the best meal of our trip overall. Ideal place for a group to share, if you're good with sharing even large plates. Everything was spectacular. We got 3 small plates, a pizza, and two large plates. That amount was perfect for 4 adults where we weren't hungry and felt very satisfied. Definitely will recommend to anyone else visiting the city.
This restaurant is in the Marigny neighborhood, and it is an isolated business across from a construction zone. While waiting for the place to open, a man talking to himself walked by. However, this place is REALLY good. When they opened at 5:30PM, people rolled in. The decor is modern but pleasant, with sunflowers in abundance. Staff is friendly and service is excellent. My wife had the red snapper with quinoa and pureed cauliflower. I had the artichoke pizza with spinach, olives and pecans. Both were excellent. The warm tahini brownie was GREAT. The dark chocolate meshed perfectly with the brownie and ice cream. Prices are reasonable, given the experience. I agree that you should likely take a taxi to get there.
From the decor to the service to the excellent food - this place is not to be missed on your next trip to NOLA. It was easily my favorite meal of my trip. We ordered the Ensalata Tre Colori, Tuna Crudo, Squid Ink Pasta (incredible..!!), Mushroom Pizza, and Herbed Ricotta Agnolotti. All were delicious and prepared in the open kitchen right in front of us (we sat at the bar to watch the action). We couldn't leave without trying the Tahini Brownie with Coconut Crunch ice cream....and you shouldn't either. It was outrageously good. Sad to be leaving NOLA simply because I won't get another chance to eat at this place before I do! Excellent prices as well!
After 4 nights of fish and Creole cooking, my wife and I were ready for something different. Ambience lacking, but service and drinks superb. We had plenty to eat by ordering 3 small plates, including Arancini, salad, and Squid Ink pasta. Latter one of best dishes we had on entire trip. Highly recommend!
I think it would be best to take a cab to get to Paladar and it will be well worth the fare. We had a pretty wide variety of the fare and it was all fresh and tasty. It is a seasonal menu so reporting on something today might not be on the menu tomorrow you can't go wrong. The salads were so tasty that there wasn't a leaf left on the plate; pizza's were not the norm but creative. Paladar will be on the list when I return for sure!
I was not a fan of carrots until coming to Paladar 511. We ordered the roasted baby carrots appetizer (my husband is vegetarian so although there were other things I preferred this was one of 2-3 veg appetizer options we could share) and I will now spend the rest of my days trying to recreate it. The pizza was also good but the carrots get special mention.Service was quick, drinks were good. Would definitely come back.
