Had an amazing lamb burger along with another amazing chicken and lamb dish that included an eggplant infused side. The bread was super fresh. Also had traditional middle eastern tea that included rose water. The owner operators have great rapport with customers and are a pleasure to talk to. I highly recommend this convenient restaurant.
We almost didn't come here because, who eats Mediterranean food in New Orleans? But the reviews sold it to us and boy am I glad we did. Their Kufta, the reason why you should go there, is one of its kind and just incredible. Their silky smooth Hummus works with everything. I had the Shakshouka which got the tomatoes part right, but the eggs were overcooked and solid on the inside, when they should have been runny. Otherwise, the fried cheese was so good, the hummus and feta was so good too, and GOD the home baked pita bread was just perfect. Great service considering it was only one server running the whole deal from pickups, serving tables and running the cash register. I must say the Mango juice tasted artificial, like it came from a box or a mix. Not fresh so steer away from that. The ice tea was meh too compared to most other restaurants in town, especially the way they sweetened it. That said, we had a hearty yet healthy brunch and were glad this was our last meal in New Orleans!
Ok... Here's the deal. Cancel your current dinner plans and come here. You will have one of THE BEST Mediterranean food dishes that you have/have not ever tried.I chose to have the chicken shawarma plate. There was so much flavor in everything. And as wife states "the smoothest hummus" she's ever eaten.Establishment is very clean and simple with very friendly staff. Food came out pretty quick and hot. This place deserves your business
Very delicious food, friendly atmosphere
I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant! From the delicious food to the amazing service- this place deserves a 15 star rating. Absolutely delicious, fresh, homemade Mediterranean food that is made with so much passion it makes the food taste even better than can be be described. Not to mention, Rafael and his partner are the most caring, passionate owners my husband and I have met. They genuinely care about each customer and have so much pride and passion in their restaurant you can taste the passion in their food. Cannot recommend highly enough- I will absolutely tell everyone I know to visit when coming to NOLA! We will absolutely be back!
Great food at a great price! I had dinner here last night. It was so good I came back today!
We love this place. Fresh, delicious food served by a friendly owner. It can get very busy at lunch, but service is usually still relatively quick. Great hummus and salad as sides to the plates. We have tried much of the menu and it's all been very good.
If you’re looking for some place to eat off the French Quarter but still close to the bustle, this is a great choice. The food is awesome and authentic (I’ve had Mediterranean food in Tel Aviv and it’s hard to match, but I think this came very close). For vegetarians like us there was a ton of choice. And it was quiet and comfortable as opposed to the French Quarter which was a nice change after having spent a good part of the day there.
We have several GREAT Mediterranean restaurants back home (Columbus Ohio), this one would rank right up with the best of those. The quality of food for the price is unbelievable! We haven't had a better meal on this trip, and being able to eat some food that isn't fried, and have some vegetables, is SO nice after all the heavy 'traditional' NOLA fare.
It was a great place! Family friendly, nicely decorated. Most importantly the food was delicious and reasonably priced.
