A cool and fun experience for any first timers trying absinthe. I particularly liked the walls of business cards and the football helmets hanging on the ceiling. These are pretty unique decors I must say.My spouse, friends and I paid a visit yesterday and was immediately greeted by a bartender. We ordered the drinks and she put on a little show, watching her preparing the absinthe drinks was an eye-opener. Our bartender wasn’t exactly the friendliest but it was end of the shift for her so, I’m assuming she was in a rush to get out of there.Taste wise, not for me. Absinthe tastes like liquorice candy and I’m not a fan of that. We spent $77USD for four drinks, that came down to roughly $20usd per drink which is as expensive as a cocktail at a 5-star hotel.I understand this place has a lot of history and personality so I would highly recommend it to whoever wants to visit a historical place in New Orleans at the French Quarters. Credit cards/cash accepted here.

Very interesting experience, and true to New Orleans. I had to try the Absinthe, even though I loathe black licorice. The bartender was friendly, foul-mouthed (which is fine with me,) and very open about why absinthe tastes like and how it makes you feel. I would go back, just for the buzz.

Jackie was our bartender and she was so much fun! Had an amazing experience here! Compared to bourbon street bars that are nasty and dirty. ... this one is clean and great staff.

They don't do the water pour from the old-timey absinthe water dispenser...but for me I don't think I would have liked that anyway. I love black licorice, but honestly, absinthe is nasty. Great staff!!! The drinks aren't fancy.....but good bloody mary!!

This is a bar with tons of history and personality. It's a must-do every time we visit New Orleans. We enjoy coming here for the atmosphere and to people watch. It's right on Bourbon Street where all the action happens. When you visit, you've got to try the absinthe.

Interesting bar with a lot of history! This was my first time trying absinthe. The bartender made it an experience for sure including some history and culture behind the drink and proper method to consume it. Highly recommend!!

Rude and could care less about having no toilet paper in the restrooms or about your order.I was given an incorrect drink and when corrected by the bouncer and given my correct drink, I was still charged (and I still tipped tipped). I came here for the pure absinthe and not sure if I got it, but I wouldn't recommend this place for service alone. Whoever the female bartender that was working here on 4/18/22 during the late hours really needs a course on customer service.

Recommendation: have a Sazerac.

I brought my team here during a conference- an essential stop on any Bourbon Street trek. It’s always someone’s first time trying absinthe, so they love the little ritual.Bartender was pretty gruff, but this did not detract from my appreciation of him- fast and efficient and getting the job done on a random Monday night.

Was very disappointed with this place despite planning this stop for our vacation itinerary. It was the first place in Nola we went to. Our group was carded at the door and let in and once we went up to the bar to order we were carded again which is perfectly fine. What wasn’t okay was that the bartender (white middle age woman with black hair) accepted all our IDs minus our friend because he didn’t have a United States ID. He’s not a US citizen so obviously he wasn’t going to have a US ID. Racist much? No other bar on Bourbon gave us this issue. Spend your money elsewhere.
