So I will start off by saying that the owner and the waitress who served our table were nice and polite but unfortunately that's the only good thing I can say about our experience here. Went with a group of friends for there "Reverse Brunch" and it just ended up being one thing after another. They don't have paper menus which I have seen before but you usually have a QR code or something you can scan that brings you to their menu but you actually have to go to their page on IG to pull up a menu. The brunch menu didn't have any prices on it and the waitress couldn't provide definite prices without walking away and checking computer. They didn't have champagne for the mimosas advertised on the brunch menu. They didn't have all the ingredients to make the cocktail I ordered off their menu. Two of my party ordered their country breakfast and they only received one pancake when it says two on the menu. The waitress said the cook just did one big pancake instead of two smaller ones. What??????? Not to mention the prices are ridiculous!! The boozy snowballs are grossly overpriced as well as some of their other dishes. Not to mention the automatic 18% gratuity added on regardless of party size. I always tip but for level of service we received I definitely wouldn't have done 18%. I would love to support them but service/experience wasn't on par with the pricing.
I read the bad reviews but I was actually pleasantly surprised with the service I received. Both ladies working were friendly and very welcoming. They barely had any snowball flavors available but the one that was served to me was pretty good. But man the price they charge is outrageous. Two snowballs with a tube shot of vodka in each, combined with a forced 18% gratuity was over $38.00. I always tip 25% or more but I do not like it to be forced on me. I like to be the deciding factor. The place is also rarely open. I live across the street and it's about a 70% chance they will be closed during working hours. I wanted to like this place and I did until I was charged over $19 for a snowball with a tube shot. I almost thought I was on Bourbon St for a second.
Dropped in for drinks with friends. We did not order food but I was looking at other folks table n the wings looked pretty tasty. They also finished them off so that was a good sign. The drinks are exotic and sooo good. I'll be back!
The owner herself was very down to earth. Concerned with service, drinks were beautiful & strong!! My husband & I enjoyed our lunch! This is an amazing black owned business ??❤️
I don’t nevvvvvveeeeerrrrrrr do this but I have too. We wanted 30+ mins for our drinks to come out! The food and drinks was over priced!! And how you give your self that much of a gratuity with only 2 people and you only checked on us ONCE!! Then you serve people with plastic plates and utensils. And have the nerve to be high! The drinks wasn’t even strong!! Trying to support black owned businesses!! Never again will I go back!!
Very good drinks and food. I can only hope that they were short handed on the night we went because this place is far to big and busy for one person to work the bar and the floor. The waitress was working incredibly hard but she was a bit overwhelmed with orders.
We’ve been wanting to go for a minute. We told a few friends and brought about 4 others. It was dead the first time and we could tell if it was open so we came back the next night on Mardi Gras. The restaurant is has a nice set up. It’s a vibe but the few others that were there still through the vibe off. We waiting for 45 minutes at the bar and no one even attempted to help us or the other guests waiting. One lady asked how we could be served and the young man at the bar said I don’t know, you just gotta wait so, they left. We stayed for another 15 minutes and ended up leaving. They’re hiring so, I assume they’re under staffed but it doesn’t makes sense to be open until 2 if you can’t serve your guests.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I don’t even give reviews like this on my people but last night was crazy! I was out of town visiting. Prior to me and my friends coming to the place no one was there. All together their was about 30+. We brought business and we were treated horribly. The owner has the nastiest attitude ever!! The older women working for her was so nice. I was trying to explain to the owner to talk to her employee because she was about to let me walk away with my drink because she’s so over worked and it’s under staffed she forgot I didn’t pay. The owner says you weren’t about to walk away with a free drink and she was getting your receipt in a nasty tone. I tried to explain to her that she was getting my receipt because I reminded her that I didn’t pay and the young lady said “oh shoot” I stated that I was because had I wasn’t honest about me not paying for the drink I would of had it. We spent a lot of money in this establishment and it’s sad that businesses like this make people not wanna support our kind. We understand that you guys are understaffed, but that doesn’t give a reason to be rude when I was courteous enough to put you on game and I was honest. I’ll never visit here again.
I learned about this place from social media. Bailey was my waitress and she was so sweet! Her service was really welcoming and fun! (Ask for Bailey because she made the experience and provided good service!)I enjoyed the margarita drinks! I didn’t have a budget so I was just spending ?.The music was great and it was a welcoming experience. My food was amazing, however there is somewhat of a wait to get your food. (If you’re in a rush be mindful of the possible wait). This is a small business that is growing. I think they do a great job of curating vibrant experiences through their music, photo opps, fun drinks, themed nights, and good music.
I work in the area and wanted to give this business a try. I was ready for lunch but unfortunately the bartender informed me the kitchen staff was not there. The time was 12pm. I even gave it more time and came back. The staff was still nowhere to be found.I then decided to just let the bartender make me a drink. It was ok, just wasn't mixed well. Bartender then offered to make me some wings and fries to which I accepted. Sadly the wings were not good and was undercooked. Please accept this consrtuctive review and try to bring the business up to par. I don't mind giving second chances.
