First stop after landing in NOLA and when we pulled into their parking lot and smelled the BBQ we knew it was a perfect choice. There were four of us and the counter people helped us ordering. We had catfish fillets, brisket, smoked wings and of course crawfish with too many sides to mention Everything was delicious. The place has a really great vibe at a nice location with very friendly & helpful staff. You can eat inside or outside. We will be back!
Shaggy and Kat , the owners are some of the best people I have ever meet. There food is delicious. The brisket bombs are awesome. Crawfish never disappoints. The Ruben on that marble rye!!! I especially love the Brisket. BBQ to die for. Everything is delicious. I love the new indoor dining area. Tables are beautiful. Outdoor dining area is also nice with some really cool art work to admire. You can sit outside and smell the incredible seafood boiling or that smoker hard at work.

I was in town and saw this location and decided to try out this location since I was craving Crawfish.I ordered the Viet Cajun 3lb boil with sides of corn , potatoes, and sausage. The flavor was good and it wasn’t spicy either. Some of the Crawfish in my boil were mushy and I didn’t eat them. Over all pretty tasty and it feeds easily two people.I’m not sure what the norm is, but usually in other locations the sides are included and boiled with the crawfish.
What a great experience! Courtney and Mike did an amazing job with the boil - setting everything up perfectly and taking all the remains away as promised. From the minute Sophia contacted me with details of the event, to when the tables and everything was picked up, Craw Fish King exceeded expectations. My favorite crawfish in the city right now - been enjoying them for a couple of years now. The homemade sausage in the boil is insanely good - juicy, snappy, flavorful. Worth trying their regular smoked meat menu too. These people know how to BBQ
Best PoBoy ever had. Crispy shrimp, at MINIMUM a dozen of them on the sandwich. So so good. The crawfish is a FAT 3LB not skimpy or small. Seasoned perfectly. So good. Will go here again without question.
Had The Neville a homemade hot sausage sandwich. It was awesome. Not too hot just the right amount of heat. Also ordered 1/2 rack of ribs. They were awesome. Perfectly done.
We were very happy when Chris "Shaggy" Davis opened his store because, as any New Orleanean knows, there's no crawfish boil like a Shaggy boil! Now, instead of having to wait for one of his boils at a remote location, we can just come to the shop whenever we want for some quality crawfish! I don't know where he gets them, but they're always the biggest, and he has them earlier and later than just about anyone else. And the boil itself? Incredible! Juicy, flavorful, and just enough spice to make things interesting. And if there are people with you who don't do crawfish? The BBQ is amazing, too!
Came into NOLA from Texas as I do fairly often and friends recommended NOLA Crab King..YUM!Tried a little bit of everything since we were with a large group. Everything was delicious, flavorful and fresh! We tried all 3 of the rolls..boudin, stuffing and bbq…delish. Slaw was crunchy fresh and simple, just sweet enough and not soggy! Crawfish cooked perfect. Next time I try the bbq! Thanks Chris Davis for a real taste treat!!
