Location this Marriott is great if you’re looking to explore the city. It’s easy access to all the side streets in the street car in front. The hotel staff was very nice and easy to work with. We had a Walmart order of water shipped to the hotel before we arrived. The bell staff had it ready and deliver to our room for us. My only negative comment would be that the rooms need a little bit of updating.

Stayed here for four nights for a medical conference. Professionally, I felt the staff was courteous and very helpful. The servers were very attentive during the day long events. Food was well displayed and everything was clean throughout the conference. There were plenty of rooms for various events from large seminars to more intimate discussion rooms. Very large space, but easy to navigate. Any size event could be accommodated here. Personally, I enjoyed the location of the hotel. Being on Canal St, you are removed from the sounds of Bourbon while still having plenty of flair outside yourself. It is a short walk to many familiar places from here. I stayed in a single King and it was enough for me. I could see a couple having a comfortable stay as well. The view from the 31st floor was great. Some views face the water, others the French Quarter. There's a bar in the lobby that always seems busy. A Starbucks open until 3, a simple store to buy snacks, as well as a FedEx Business Center. I did not receive any maid service by choice as they respected the privacy sign. The front desk was courteous and quick with any issues. I did not eat any room service this trip. The bathroom was a bit small but not too cramped. The shower was good once you figured out how hot it could get. This was a phenomenal hotel and a great stay.

Stayed here for 6 nights as part of a convention at the hotel. Central location for the French Quarter and Bourbon Street. A large hotel with attached convention centre. We booked a room with M Club access which proved to be a great idea, access to the M Club lounge gives you free breakfast, early evening buffet and coffee and soft drinks 24/7. Got to give a big thank you to the lovely people who worked in the M Lounge. Our room was large and worked for us, decor was a bit 1980s. During our convention lunch was provided each day and food was consistently good. The bar was lively and popular with our colleagues, again the staff at the bar were great. There is a burger bar attached to the hotel that served top notch burgers, there is also a shop that offers good snacks and hot food to take away. A good stay.

Stayed here with 3 friends for 3 nights so we had 2 x twin rooms. On reaching the hotel it was loud and busy and reminded me of Vegas. The rooms were very dated and need a major upgrade although the beds were very comfy but the room size was also pretty small considering they had given us upgrades apparantly due to being Marriott members. There was no way you could sit on a chair at the desk if you had work to do! The location of the hotel is good, close to everything but there are a lot of crazy people and beggars near to the hotel (I am guessing that's just the place and not the hotel!). Not sure I would stay here again but it was pretty reasonable for our stay.

Our accommodations at this hotel was very disappointing. We checked in and we are assigned a room on the top floor with a horrible view. To make matters worse, the return vent fell and nearly missed my 2 year old son. Finally, one of the chairs in our room had a hole in it. For the price, it was a horrible value. It was so bad, my wife insisted that we check out immediately. Hotel needs to be upgraded big time.

Great location. 5 minutes walk from Bourbon street and most tourist pick up points. Clean hotel and friendly staff. Pool was quiet and there were two good size pools. Breakfast provided was delicious and great quality. Iron and hairdryer both good.

My family like the place and very good staff down here. ?

Wonderful experience, food awesome ( All Meals) from breakfast, lunch and two banquets.

I had the pleasure of spending nine nights at the New Orleans Marriott for the 2022 National Federation of the Blind convention, which was held at this hotel. I will be honest, seeing some of the reviews here on Trip Adviser made me a little nervous. I went with an open mind and was absolutely delighted. My grandmother and I arrived at the Marriott in the early afternoon on Sunday, July 3. I knew we were early, and did not expect our room to be ready. Our group rate listed our room as one king or two double, and I was concerned that we might not get a room with two beds as requested. To my delight, we were informed that a room was available and it had two beds. considering that there were about three hours until check in time, and a major festival was ending, I was thrilled that what we needed was available to us. After completing the check in process, we headed up to our Quarter Tower room on the 12th floor. Opening the door, we found the room perfect. We looked out the window and saw that we had a view of the city. It was a few hours later that I realized how lucky we were. After we came up from dinner, I started looking at my Marriott app on my phone. I then discovered that we were upgraded from a Standard Room to a Two Double City View, while keeping the Standard Room rate. That was such a pleasant surprise. To the person who checked us in, thank you for making the start of our stay in New Orleans memorable. Our room was extremely comfortable, and it was a pleasure returning to it after a busy day of convention sessions. There were only a few very small things I was not crazy about. The first is that the rooms really need more outlets. As someone who travels with a number of electronic devices, I found it difficult to find a place for everything. The bathroom was also on the small side, but it was decent and got the job done. On the plus side, the hot water was perfect. Aside from those minor details, I absolutely loved our room and enjoyed every minute spent in it. There was plenty of excellent food to eat at this hotel. Several mornings, my grandmother and I went down to the main restaurant for breakfast. It was absolutely delicious. I especially loved the All American Breakfast, and particularly loved the sausage and home fries. They were so good and they had a nice kick to them. The beignets were also delicious. We also had a number of meals from the Canal Street Pantry, and the food there was also perfect. We certainly did not go hungry at the New Orleans Marriott. Since I was at this hotel to attend a convention, I spent a lot of time in the meeting spaces. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the space was to navigate. Taking the Quarter Tower elevators down to the second floor, the Studio meeting rooms were right there. Going to the third-floor led directly to the Acadia Ballroom, where a number of our larger meetings were held. It was also a very short walk to cross over to the Galerie meeting rooms on the second floor of the River Tower when needed. All of these meeting rooms had excellent acoustics, making it very easy to hear all of the presenters. The meeting space was a perfect venue for our events. I personally liked the smart destination dispatch elevators at this hotel. I found that they worked well for the most part, but they occasionally had trouble when a lot of us were trying to get down to our meetings. I still found it better than having a bunch of elevators arriving completely full. At other times, there was hardly a wait for an elevator. Definitely not a bad system. There was a lot to love here. We had an excellent hotel room, fantastic food, and wonderful meeting spaces. The staff were also super friendly and helpful. I loved every minute of my stay here. The New Orleans Marriott was a fantastic host facility, and I hope that we will return to this hotel for a future convention. I can't wait to come back for another stay at this incredible hotel.

After an otherwise pleasant 5 night stay, on the morning of checkout I discover that I had been laying under bloody bed linens for 5 days!!!! I did a check of the mattress upon check-in, but it wasn't until I'm checking around the bed to make sure that I have all of my belongings, the top sheet slides down exposing a blood covered blanket. I had been sleeping on the right side of the bed for the entire stay and the blood was on the left side of the bed. So I never noticed! When I go downstairs to let someone know, they offer points and questioned why I am just saying something on the last day. I have tried several times since my return home to reach out to the hotel in regards to compensation for the sheer GROSSNESS AND UNSANITARY conditions of laying under someone else's bodily fluids for 5 days. And they treat it as though I need a free stay at a hotel instead of lazy cleaning during the end of a pandemic. Between this and the way they treated an incoming conference of vision impaired, they are ruining an otherwise good thing. Beautiful hotel, pool and location. No accountability!!
