Good serving size. I thought the omelet could use a little more spice. I would go again.
Absolutely love this place! Coffee is great. I ordered the pork omelet with American cheese the first time and french toast with bacon the next. Food is ?. I had the pleasure to meet the owner Leo, who is an 76 yr old immigrant from Greece. Nicest guy who let me try the potatoes with cheese and bacon. Also delicious ?
There was line when we arrived however we were seated within 10 minutes. We ordered hot chocolate, French toast, gumbo, shrimp in remoulade with fried tomatoes. The French toast was cold but replaced quickly and it was good. The gumbo was good however the shrimp and fried tomatoes were not not worth eating. The shrimp was still cold and the tomatoes were over ripe.
The food at Mena's was delicious. We were seated quickly and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. So much so, that we ate there 3 time during our week stay.
This is a wonderful place for lunch! Red beans and rice was very flavorful. Our waitress was great and we didn’t have to wait long for our order. I will definitely be back to Mena’s and recommend them to anyone.
I had the French Toast with Bacon, Hubby had the 2 eggs with sausage patties and home fries. Food was excellent, portions were quite filling, service was excellent! Our server was refilling our coffee before we were at half a cup ?. An awesome restaurant that has been a staple of New Orleans forever! Thank you ?
This is a great intimate restaurant with a wide ranging menu of delicious meals. The Shrimp Po’Boy was delicious. Accompanied by a side of fries, a beer and a glass of wine, it was ample to set us up for an afternoon of exploring N’awlins.
We were recommended this place for breakfast by our hotel. It was very close by and quick to get in but it was a busy little cafe restaurant. The breakfast menu is limited but offers literally everything you need. The eggs were great and my friend just wanted a plain cheese on toast and they were happy to accommodate. Friendly service and reasonable price.
Excellent food and service.. We tried Two Egg Breakfast, which was delicious, and the Grilled Chicken Breast from the lunch menu which was so delicious as well ! the waitresses were friendly and the food came out quickly. I would definitely recommend this place !!
Great service front and back of house. I was flying out and asked if there was a way for them to pack a muffaletta safely to carry on a plane. No issue at all. Got it back to LA a few hours later and the recipient was really happy with how yummy it was!
