The ambiance, food and service at this restaurant is very good. We came in from the rain and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the food. There were not too many people there (perhaps the rai), and it was after lunch but the food was fresh and totally delicious, perhaps one of the best vegetarian restaurants I have ever been to.

The crab cakes are a must! I stopped eating crab many years ago but these taste better than the real thing! This is truly a plant based restaurant as opposed to super processed vegan food. So manage your expectations. At the same time though, I’m not sure why my meal was called a lasagna. There were no obvious layers and tomato sauce would have been great. The texture was grainy (peas could have been soaked more?) but it tasted good. Just not a lasagna. The server was nice, the place was clean and it was nice to visit another part of New Orleans as well.

I was excited to try Max Well. This was a part of New Orleans that I had not yet ventured into on my trip here, and I really loved the neighborhood. The staff is very friendly. I was worried that it would be a bit busy on a Friday night, but it wasn't.I ordered the Ravioli. I could tell that a lot of thought went into the preparation of the dish and that the ingredients were well-sourced. It only had three ravioli, which I was a bit surprised by, since the dish costs $20. It was very tasty and I enjoyed it.However, I was still hungry when I was finished, so I ended up ordering the Greens. I REALLY loved that since it has pickled vegetables.I had the Sweet Potato Pie for dessert, and that was OFF THE HOOK delicious. The plating/presentation was that of a fine dining restaurant, not the fast casual restaurant that it is. I was so impressed; each dish looked like a work of art.Random, but important (I think): The bathroom felt a bit messy and disorganized, which didn't seem to match the rest of the restaurant.Overall, I did really love the food experience here, and I appreciated the detail that the staff put into the food. I will be coming back before I leave New Orleans!

The Best Vegan food ever! The cornbread, and jalapeño poppers were so delicious. All Covid safety policies are in place at this restaurant.

Excellent vegan food with something for everyone. The food was delicious and beautiful. We had jalapeño poppers, cornbread, green smoothie and the Spartan bowl.

Our first time here but we’ll be back! The gumbo was perfect for a cold night! We ordered a selection of small plates to share and they were all exceptional! The collard greens had a perfect vinegar base and the crab cakes had great texture and taste! Everything was presented in a very high-end way. Highly recommend this Magazine Street gem!

Wow! Amazing Vegetarian food and very reasonably priced. Everything was delicious and fresh and the juices were exceptional. Would definitely come back!

The menu was intriguing and there are many five star reviews. Unfortunately this was the worst vegan restaurant we've been to. First everything was way too salty. They were out of a few things, but they should have told us they were out of more. We ordered the Greens and Cornbread. We got a dried, very small, crusty piece of cornbread, which we found out was the second to last piece left of the day. The size of the butter for it indicated that they would normally give you more bread. The "fettucine" was not noodles. It was a bowl of goo, with nothing in it that resembled noodles at all. See photos. I asked him about it and said it didn't have any noodles. He said they make the noodles there and looked at me dead pan claiming that this was in fact noodles. Look, if you let your homemade noodles disintegrate but still have a bunch in the bottom of the pan just tell me you're out of it! Don't claim goo is noodles. He said if I wasn't satisfied I could have something else, but we just wanted to get out of there.

OVER SALTED. Over-ratted place. Everything was over-salted: French onion soup without cheese and croutons and over-salted, lasagna was over-roasted and dry, chicken and beans over-salted… and not tasty except of creme brûlée desert. My complain was just listened. No apologies, no any afford to excuse and offer smth else instead. We were very hungry…Beautiful serving of dishes is not enough, it should be tasty as well, guys. I wouldn’t put negative review if someone brought at least apologize or the sheff came out to solve the question… just wasting my time and 70$ to trash ? at least desert was good, somehow.I just have been ignored. It’s poor service, my vegan friends.

Absolutely the best Vegan/Plant Based restaurant in the city. Food was delicious ?
