We visited here May 10th 2022 for lunch. We loved it! By far the best place we found on our visit to New Orleans. The food was amazing, the Jazz band playing were excellent and captivating, the service and friendly welcome we enjoyed from Daranika was warm and generous.Thank you so much ?

Exceptional lunch spot. We were a little hesitant simply because it look very touristy - like another Cafe du Monde minus the beignets. We sat outside and were quickly served. The live jazz band was really good (and really loud - which influenced our choice of seats). We decided to share a muffaletta & fries, so we bought a whole one.It was impressive with the number of people there, how quickly our food came out.First, the fries were pipping hot and had a bit of batter coating.Second, the muffaletta was HUGE!!! Delicious and meaty and the olive salad on top was sharp and flavorful, and it was all perfectly proportioned in a large warm sesame roll. It came with an oil & Italian seasoned vinegrette to pour over the insides. Yummo! We both really enjoyed the muffaletta. Here's the tip - two people (both with healthy appetites) could easily share a half a sandwich. We ended up having the 2nd half wrapped to go.I'd recommend the Market Cafe for a nice quick lunch when you're in NOLA.

Friendly staff. Good music. Indoor/outdoor seating. Drfinitely start off with the bloody mary with bacon!

Waited in line for about 15 minutes on a Wednesday afternoon. But besides for the initial wait, service was quick. The gumbo and crawfish etouffee were delish. The drinks were on point. The tap water they bring tastes disgusting so be warned! The jazz band that was playing was very entertaining. Def would return.

We checked out Market Cafe for a quick lunch and we had Jambalaya and Muffuletta. Jambalaya was such a comfort food and tasted good. And I had Muffuletta without meat, and it was ‘ok’. But, service was too good and staff was really nice. And they had a live jazz music band in the restaurant which was a great vibe for the French market area.

We've been coming here biannually for the better part of 20 years. Still have the super nice servers. Great place to get a seat almost anytime - inside or out. Usually have live music, but not this last time - covid mandates by mayor. Also had to where mask to walk in 5 ft and sit - weird as servers weren't wearing masks which is great. They no longer have the roast beef poboy. All else remains excellent - I get the 1/2 muffuletta or the sampler. Always get gumbo! Tried the alligator beignets - more like dense rich biscuits- very good.

Service was a little slow but it's a great place to sit, relax, listen to music and enjoy a meal if you aren't rushing. Crawfish beignets are where it's at!

Great service. Really good food. A nice location that wasn't crazy busy but still in the heart of it. Good prices. Great live music.

Beautiful open air Cafe with amazing music to sit and enjoy a tasty drink and delicious food.

very enjoyable outdoor/ indoor eating with live 3-piece music! Breakfast buffet doesn't look like much, but the potatoes were fabulous! Friendly staff. Overall really nice find!
