Baffling that this place so highly rated. Mediocre in all ways- food is blah, service is blah…maybe fun as a bar but avoid at all costs as a restaurant. That’s this is so highly rated on TripAdvisor is laughable.

Best damm drinks and food at the bar. I recommend the mambo tini....drink slow! The best red beans and rice. The fish with mashed potatoes was another delicious meal.

The food was exceptional. We had crab cakes - so tasty with delicious sauce, redfish also fantastic, dessert and 4 cocktails between us. Our favourite meal while in New Orleans.

Our waitress Jamie went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, provide us with suggestions and gave us a taste of southern hospitality. The food was great and the voodoo drink is a must try. She even gave us suggestions on the best places to visit. Do yourself a favor and run, don’t walk to Mambo’s.

Who walks in to a restaurant and hears’ “I’m so glad you’re here!”? Anyone who walks in to Mambo’s! Warm. Welcoming. The most friendly and kind-hearted staff! See Rasheda too. What brilliant service!

A bit of a wait, but not prolonged nor unexpected. Drinks, food, and service were stellar. Recommend the shrimp and grits.

Laid back atmosphere, Seating is very cramped Nice staff - very inviting and friendly Everything was very salty Not the best meal for New Orleans

The food has definitely got a homey feel to it but it doesn’t really taste all that good. The blackened alligator bites were pretty good but honestly would have been better with chicken. Meh overall

Not impressed or mind blown… The food was average the service was okay. I would recommend to try NOLA food elsewhere

Mambo’a has some of the best food I have had in a long time. The servers and staff were amazing as well. Overall, a wonderful experience.
