M&J wasn’t bad at all! I purchased the 2 legs and thigh meal with yams which omg are to die for( I don’t eat everyone yams) collards and potato salad! All of my sides were delicious and I wish I had of gotten an extra order of yams Lol! I gave this rating 4 stars only because my fried chicken could have been fried a little longer. It was still a little pink in the middle of one of my legs which are a nice size! I hope you don’t take it as bad criticism because it most definitely isn’t. Just a hint to let the chicken fry just a little while longer. Other than that I loved everything about it!!! Thanks for the delicious Soul food and I will definitely be coming again when in town! This spot is the truth!! I vacationed here a few months back and am STILL thinking about that pork chop plate ? I have another trip planned and DEFINITELY plan on stopping at this place a few times while I’m back in New Orleans!

Best fried pork chops and candied yams and the mac n cheese I've had in my life! ... I came looking for local food and thk the lord I found this lil gem if you come visiting New Orleans make sure to make time to stop in. And enjoy. Next time I come again this is a most definitely stop.
