A map search of “breakfast near me” led me to this little GEM of a neighborhood bistro. First of all, the grits represent! They were delicious and creamy and flavorful. Some of the best I’ve had in NOLA! The sharp white cheddar is what makes an average bacon egg and cheese sandwich something special here. You should try it. Then they have this grill brie and apple sandwich. It’ll make you come back! Thanks for everything. Great service & quaint neighborhood bistro setting. Oh I’ll be back
The apple & brie croissant was everything I wanted- sweet and delectable. The apples were soft like apple pie. The Signature salad was underwhelming and overpriced. The bell pepper rings were interesting to try!
Staff was courteous. Orders were taken quickly and the menu was laid out fairly straight-forward. Service was a little slower than expected considering the number of customers.Location has a lot of outdoor seating and a small area inside.Ordered coffee and Oreo beignets. As expected with just about anything Oreo, they were good and the coffee was above average (as far as standard hot coffee goes). 1 order of beignets is enough for 1 adult unless you're really hungry.
Fun and flavorful coffees. Off the beaten path and a great place for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Hip vibes.
Update: very busy place, good food, good service.Oreo Beignet. That is all you need to know. They are good, as are the fried Brussels sprouts. Unisex restroom. Decent service.
Fried green tomato BLT.. omg! Absolutely amazing flavor and their soup of the day with just as much flavor. Friendly owner and staff!
It’s always great when you go to a new restaurant and you learned that the owner is always on premises not to mention the delicious gumbo and soups two things you have to try the fried bell pepper rings and the Oreo beignet’s.
Food is great, but prices are high and portions have gone down in the past few years. $3 is added to each sandwich for ordering off Ubereats. $2 for a side salad dressing! Absurd for a place I’ve spent thousands at over the years. Not sure I can do it any more. Sad since I crave it so often.
Everything I’ve tried has been amazing. Based on other reviews, I started with the shrimp and grits and it did not disappoint. Chorizo sandwich was so flavorful and unique. Salads are all beautiful, fresh and yummy. Can’t wait to try more items. They clearly put a lot of effort and care into this restaurant.
Our first time visiting New Orleans and we had a list of “non touristy” places to eat. Luca Eats did not disappoint! We had their delicious version of the muffaletta and their “Oreo beignets “ or fried Oreos some would say. These are my boyfriends exact words “I don’t know if we need to go anywhere else but here.” I feel the same but we need to give other places a fair chance…lol The owner was the friendliest and his staff amazingly helpful and even recommended some places for us to visit! We’ll be back for sure!
