Small place, kind of secluded. My Torta was AMAZING. The horchata was not that good, but that might just be me. My favorite part was my server who was singing ever so beautifully. Not sure she knew I could hear her. The salsa was served hot and it was delicious. I ate it all. Do yourself a favor, and go here and try anything. Next time I'm trying the Loya's Elote, and I'll take pictures!

Walk into this place and you will find a family, dancing and singing together as they hustle to fill all the orders coming through the door. We went with a takeout order, and my wife was moved to tears by the birra. She ordered me to give this place a 5 star review and kept asking where I got it. She's a local, but had never heard of it. I guess because you don't think of this kind of cuisine when you come to New Orleans. So you need to come here and take a bite. What you're tasting is not ceviche or tacos. It's an American dream. And a whole lotta love.

Best Mexican restaurant I’ve found in NOLA. Seems very authentic. Great service. Get the barilla!

Fabulous food! Everything was delicious.

authentic and creative Mexican food ❤️Gracias COCO Y PERLA. Highly recommended for lunch or dinner.

Some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Also the complimentary salsa is incredible.

This is a gem of a restaurant. The food is Mexico City style, not Americanized Tex-Mex. Expect perfectly cooked meats and sublime sauces. We ordered steak tacos and the poblano enchiladas. The tacos were excellent with steak, onions and cilantro inside corn tortillas and served with tasty Spanish rice and refried style black beans. The enchiladas were filled with tender chicken and were topped with a great tomatillo based sauce and included the same beans and rice but also a palate cleansing cucumber, onion and tomato salad. Simple decor but authentic Mexican food. Go.

FANTASTIC FOOD. Tortillas are made to order. Small dining area. Small chairs. Open kitchen is neat but makes the dining area very warm. Very little parking

Only 2 people in the place and you can tell there hustling to get the job done. This place def deserves the 5 stars, the food is stop notch. There dipping sauces for the tacos and casadillas are da bomb. I'm not even a big fan of Mexican too.

The VERY BEST Chile Relleno in the city!! I can’t wait to go back!! Also the fajitas are amazing — there is something in the preparation which sets Loya’s apart. The salsa is also very good. The great food coupled with hospitable staff make this hidden gem one not to be missed! I’ll be returning soon.
