With a plethora of worthy choices for my daily coffee in the CBD I have made it a habit to pop by unfamiliar shops in the area to see what’s new and noteworthy. I found a gem today in Lovage, a stylish & cozy nook on the ground floor of the perpetually trendy ACE Hotel. A bubbly barista with an infectious smile - she said her name was Batman ??♀️ - made me an expertly crafted latte that I thoroughly enjoyed. Unlike many shops, where I am stuck waiting for my drink for long lengths of time, I received my drink quickly, a Godsend in the middle of my busy day. Check them out!

Lovely little coffee shop for a quick pick me up. Clean, fresh and engaging. If you are traveling with a book that you’ve finished and don’t want to carry it home, / you can leave it for a free cup of coffee.
We appreciate small batch coffee and beverages skillfully made by a passionate barista, and that's what Lovage has to offer. Baked goods are delightful, but you can also grab a snack for later from the refrigerator. We're huge fans, and we plan to visit every time we're in town.
I work down street and had never gone in because I assumed it expensive. It was cheaper than Starbucks and truly enjoyed the ice coffee on tap . There staff member Batman was super friendly and help . I was a little lost came in , never being there before and when I left it felt like home. 10 out 10 would recommend ❣️❣️
Very unpleasant staff. I was overcharged for coffee and after I realized it the server ( Mariah) told me that she cannot cancel the order ans refund me because she did not know how to do it..... and that there was no one to do itSo I was fir Ed to drink a nothing special about a 6:09$ coffee. I then told her that was fine and I will take the coffee with two brown sugar. She said “ yes”After I asked where the brown sugar was she pointed with her hand to an area at the bar which has no brown sugar. So I came back to her and kindly asked her for the third time. She replied” it’s what ever on the bar I do not know if we have brown sugar or not”A 6:09$ coffee ladies and gentleman literally cold and a very rude and unhappy person sending you to hell. If you like paying this price and being disrespected then yeah the place looks nice. I just moved to nola and the neighborhood. A huge coffee amateur and I will make sure no one I know will come to your place
I've been here three times over the course of 4 months. I live nearby and absolutely love the ace hotel so I was really hoping this would be a reliable and friendly place for a morning coffee and a bite to eat. Unfortunately, each visit left me extremely disappointed in the customer service and overall quality of the food.On our first visit, we waited twenty minutes for our food only to be told that they forgot it. On the third visit, we had an incredibly poor interaction with a very rude cashier.We kept coming back with an open mind hoping that our initial visits we're simply a fluke. However, I doubt I'll be back.
The sweetest, kindest people are there to help at Lovage. I have just given up coffee a few months ago and am still a hot mess in the morning. These Lovage ladies made me tasty hot water with lemon and started my day off right. Breakfast items are delicious.
I had such an fun time at Lovage! The atmosphere was so welcoming, inviting, and captivating. Also, the manager Erin truly made me feel like a valued customer. She was attentive, personable, charismatic, and brought amazing energy to my experience and the vibe of the cafe overall. I will definitely be returning again during my next stay at the Ace Hotel.
As a med student, I'm always searching for the best study spot and I've finally found it! This place is awesome- the hours are great, there's a large table in the back with individual lights and plugs and super quiet. Makes for a perfect place to get work done. Also has other comfy couch-like seating if you're looking for more of a read a book or hang out vibe. Food and drinks are off the chain too. Breakfast burritos are my fav. And everyone is so nice! They also have outdoor seats. Doggies are welcome too. I could go on but no need to. Come say hi!
