What else can I say? Two of the best New Orleans treats rolled into one. And freshly made, not like some places where they have been getting cold for a while. There's a short wait to get your treat as a result, but it's well worth it. And there is plenty to see while waiting.
I finally made it the New Orleans to get some authentic pralines from Loretta's. The selections are plentiful. The original pralines are rich in flavor. The buttery caramel combined with roasted pecans was everything I needed it to be. Yum! Wished I could've tried one of everything. The staff is friendly with great energy. The original pralines were a great taste of New Orleans gift for my family when I returned home. I'll visit again when I return.
I know...I know.. as a tourist you are supposed to wait in that extra long line for Cafe Dumonde beignets. But I don't like lines, especially in Nola sun, plus I honestly think these beignets are way better!! They have some sort of delicious praline cream on top, are super hot, crispy and light. You can also get regular or chocolate stuffed. Plus you will still be covered in head to toe with powdered sugar after one bite, a sure fire sign that this is the real Nola experience. Walk a little further past Jackson square and you'll be rewarded!
Awesome very rich great service lots of different prailines my favorites was the rum also different products are available
The beignets were so good. Unfortunately, I got the wrong order, but they were good regardless. I would come back.
Amazing pralines beignets ! Very fresh and warm, made on the spot. We also tried the crab beignets which weren’t bad. Online it says it opens at 9h but come for 10h to be sure everything is set.
The praline stuffed beignets were worth the trip - so good!!!! Had to wait 10-15 minutes while they prepared them. Went to the location in the French Market. Lady at the counter doesn't seem happy to be there. She turned us away 10 minutes before closing saying they were closing. She turned us away a couple mornings later saying they weren't ready yet even though it was past their published opening time. Skip the pralines. The pralines themselves were not our favorite - didn't melt in your mouth, grainy texture.
Awesome benights. these things are awesome! there will likely be a line but its worth it to wait in line!
Located in the French Quarter, this place offers absolutely delicious beignets and pralines. We got the praline beignets. A must do, WAY better than Cafe Du Monde.
The pralines live up to the hype. They were DIVINE. That said, the beignets!!!! OMG. During my short stay in NOLA recently I made it a point to get here twice. The crab beignets were EVERYTHING. Also had the peanut butter and jelly beignets which were amazing. The chocolate beignets were popular too so when I come back to NOLA I'll try 'em. Back the pralines though - I tried the coconut and rum pralines and the flavor! Also, during the second time I went during my trip, a local randomly let me know that I was waiting on the best pecan candy in the city. So there's that!
