The bushwacker frozen drink is easily one of my favorite frozen drinks ever. AJ is great behind the bar and the food is top notch. The roast beef po-boy was exactly what I wanted. Play the video poker machine, it pays out pretty well.
Cool place, a lot of history. The host who sat us explained really thoroughly when we inquired about vegan options. Tables for 4 people were a bit tight, would recommend calling ahead and putting 2 tables together. The Frenchuletta was one of the best things I've eaten in my life, especially with a beer in a frosted mug on the side. Tourists...Get off the beaten track and try it.
Excellent Frenchuletta, meatball sandwich, red beans and rice, and cold schooner of beer. Cool old school joint.
Great service, the bartender was very helpful and nice. It's a family owned business, they have an employee who has worked there many years and you can tell she enjoys her job and she definitely doesn't tolerate cursing in the bar. My lasagna was good, but my dtr did not care for the fried seafood or the gumbo.
Liuzza's is one of my favorite New Orleans restaurants. It's hard to beat the frenchaletta but if you're in the mood for something else, anything with roast beef, the spaghetti with red sauce or the red beans and rice. Be sure to get mustard greens on the side and an ice cold draft beer in a frosted glass.
Asking for proof of vaccination. You kidding me? Lots of other good food down the street at places not requiring it.
We had the absolute best time / food at Liuzza’s! Completely unexpected stop and will without a doubt be back on our next trip.
Good food, hot and waitress paid go attention to us
We, too, saw you on an episode of True South and made a plan to go while in town. Food was amazing (chicken parm with red gravy--some of the best I've had and red beans, rice and sausage), the beer was cold and tasty AND the frozen Bushwacker was YUMMY! The atmosphere is spot-on Old NOLA. The staff was busting their butt to get everything served as quick as possible. This Texas girl can't wait to return next time in town
Naturally N'Awlins just oozes out of this establishment. Food & Service is everything you could ask for. Very fair prices and the draft beer is STUPID COLD and delicious. Our server Chris was awesome. Can't wait to go back!
