Trying not to exaggerate here, but the Brick Chicken was the best chicken i have had in my life. Growing up on a farm in the Midwest that is saying a lot. Sorry mom. Cocktails and service were great. Farm to Market ingredients could not have asked for more. I recommend checking it out!
Amazing!!! Everything was delicious! The bone marrow! The steak!! Even the carrots!! So happy to have this restaurant in Nola!! I found out that the chef's name is Seth! Congrats! You deserve a Michelin Star!
Le Chat Noir was an incredible dining experience. The staff was friendly, well mannered & attentive. The ambiance was great. The food was delicious. We had a party of (7) and each person thoroughly enjoyed their food paired with some delicious wines. I I believe the cook over an open flame, so please beware that the restaurant does get a tad bit smoky (the ONLY downside). I highly recommend a date night at Le Chat Noir.
Bearcat’s younger sibling Le Chat Noir lives up to the reputation from one of the most promising restaurant groups in New Orleans. This place checks every box: Chef with Michelin star experience, 70% locally sourced ingredients, and plenty of gluten free/vegan options. Incredible wine menu, fresh cocktails, beef, seafood, and off-menu items. Must visit for anyone who likes good food!!
If you have one restaurant to try in New Orleans, this is the place. It may not be contemporary Cajun or Creole cuisine, but it's damn good. The ideas are simple and dishes are straightforward with some interesting twists. Nothing was a random cacophony of flavors and colors. The carrots were definitely the star of the night, the chicken has perfectly crispy skin while being juicy and tender, oh, and the coffee... spectacular!Seriously, take your lady or man here, they'll absolutely have a great time.
Bone marrow, top notch.Chicken liver, smooth and creamy with a hint of sweetness.Green beans, reminded me of one of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving dinner.Heirloom beans, nice and tangy with big chunks of tomato.Ribeye for two, perfectly cooked and paired with a sauce that took the meat from classic french bistro to Japanese BBQ, nice addition.Madeleines and chocolate pudding, fresh baked to order and decadent.Wine, wide selections, but low end averaged 60+ a bottle.
Well well, not sure when le chat noir opened up but We walked in on a whim the other night and it was amazing. Our servers were great, especially Teagan. And the drinks are lovely and damn doodle all the roasted carrots and pork belly. I don’t even do beets, but the sticky beets warmed my heart:))) we will be back.;) also really love the shadow play with the plants in the back. Minimal lovely
We did an early dinner date night and it was fantastic. Service was easy but attentive, and the food was perfect front to back. Some of the cleanest, prettiest oysters I've ever seen, and delicious cocktails. We did a bunch of small plates to try more things, but the larger entrees I saw go by were also looking great. Wonderful place with great attention to detail, but not crazy expensive or stuffy. When we come back to new Orleans, the question will be, "why wouldn't we go back to here?"
Id say my husband and I are pretty tough critics. So when I don’t have any negatives to say about a place, that’s pretty rare. We live here in Nola and have tried a pretty good amount of restaurants, and Le Chat Noir is one of the best I’ve tasted here. Everything from the drinks to the desert was fantastic. For apps we had the carrots and the bone marrow (special of the night). Both had incredible flavor. For dinner we had the ribeye for two with sweet potatoes and mushrooms as sides. The ribeye had great flavor and had a sauce on the side too which was really good. For desert we had the hazelnut crème brûlée. Omg what an incredible desert. So good. I could eat that forever.Thank you Diana for the great service. All around 10/10! We will be back!
There is so much more to New Orleans than parties and crazy. There is love, welcoming, and amazing food! All can be found at Le Chat Noir on St. Charles and Girod. Thanks to Geneva for the recommendation! You were not kidding!
