Had the GIANT tamale (pork) and ceviche… both were delicious! Great spot for couples, gluten free folks, and anyone who loves Latin American food. Also… pupusa happy hour 3-6!
This was an amazing place, food spectacular and the owner Manny was so welcoming we felt like family. It is a very quaint place with good vibes. The pics speak for themselves, get the Papusa and try the authentic dishes. Ask him to lead you down a cultural road to the best food in the region. Thanks Manny
We had an extraordinary quick lunch here today. Service was splendid and the owner was welcoming and fun! He made great food recommendations and made sure we were in and out quickly. Can’t wait to come back!
Absolutely wonderful experience here. Had the plantains, grilled veggie platter and the vegan Papusas and tried the hibiscus limeade. Everything was fantastic. The black beans with the plantains were INCREDIBLE. One of the best meals we have had in New Orleans. Service was excellent and a great vibe from Manny. HIGHLY recommend.
Amazing food and people. We went just for a light lunch but ended getting flounder and gorilla shrimp. Was wonderful. Actually amazing. I ended spending over 100 bucks though for two meals. So if told to get something make sure to ask the price if you are not wanting to spend that kind of money. They also had decent prices on menu stuff though
Terrific little restaurant with awesome service. I stopped in, craving huevos rancheros which were not on the menu that time of day. They happily made them for me — delicious! One difference I noticed at this restaurant: more complex use of herbs and spices. I look forward to dining here again.
This little cozy spot was one of the cleanest I've ever witnessed, it was the 1st thing I noticed when I walked in. The food was awesome and tasted very fresh. The only down fall is they only accept cash...
Great staff, fun atmosphere. Menu looks fantastic, and you'll likely want to eat everything. If you're uncertain, let Manny be your guide on the culinary adventure and you will not be disappointed. The menu appeals to a wide variety of palate, carnivores and herbivores alike. The garlic, olive oil shrimps were fresh, wonderfully seasoned and Manny wasn't kidding when he emphasized the word "jumbo" numerous times!
My first time trying pupusas...and OH.MY.GOSH those were soooo good! The beans tasted amazing too. Everything tasted great. The owner is a fun guy, makes you feel welcomed. I thought the chips with guacamole were a bit spicy, so he brought more mild just for me. Definitely coming back. If I could give more than 5 stars for this experience, I'd totally do it.
