Food was okay. Nice atmosphere. Greatful to find a vegetarian restaurant in NOLA, especially one that is only two blocks away from the train line. Sandwiches were sparse; hardly any greens added to it such as tomatoes, lettuce, etc. If I'd known this, I would have saved my salad greens to put on my shrimp poboy. We were taken aback by the service charge. There is an 18% service charge, and this doesn't include tip. Whatever prices you see on the menu, be sure to add 40% to that cost to account for the 18% service charge + 20% tip. The explanation we received was that the 18% service charge covers the paychecks of the staff in the back. I'd prefer if they just raised the cost of the food by 18% rather than be surprised by the bill at the end.

Decided to grab something to eat and I heard this was a good spot. I got the fettuccine meatballs which was actually good and the hibiscus lemonade was my favorite. The staff could have been more welcoming but other than that, good find for a vegetarian.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. We came during happy hour and grabbed drinks. The drinks were tasty and made wonderfully. I can't stop speaking about how delicious the vegan meatball sub and fried mushrooms were! The server was nice too. Just an overall great time. I can't wait to come back.

Great place with amazing vegan food! The staff was friendly. We ordered nachos and brussel sprouts. Nachos were very good, the brussel sprouts were a bit burned though. The maple burger was very tasty. The po-boy was a bit dry and could use more sauce, still good though. Spaghetti was okay, i wish they would grate the cheese or just omit it instead of putting a whole slice on top. The meatballs were a very good meat substitute. Overall good, there's a place for improvement though.

I really wanted to like this place..the meal was very lackluster. The cauliflower mac & cheese was sooo dry & it had long strands of hair in it so I had to throw it out. The mushroom poboy was so dry and no flavor. So disappointing ?

The Buffalo Mac and Cheese used to be my favorite but unfortunately the recipe has changed so much! It’s dry, lacking buffalo flavor and over just bland. Their brunch is still amazing though

Are you vegetarian or vegan looking to enjoy a good meal? Here's your spot. Easy to find, Kindred is a nice small gem with great tasting vegan entrees. Nice priced and very friendly staff. I feel you would definitely enjoy these entrees to satisfy your appetite. I enjoyed the cauliflower Mac and cheese and tuna sandwich myself. Great for families, friends and dates. ENJOY!

This place is a gem on Maple Street. The fried mushrooms were superb. The service from Tucker was also courteous and prompt. The burger was really good although I would’ve put more mayo on it personally. Worth a try if you like vegan stuff. I was actually amazed that the fried cauliflower mac & cheese did not have any milk products. It really felt like actual mac & cheese.

Loved finding a vegan place that was tasty and convenient to get to from the French Quarter! We ate in and ordered to-go for later. Also, our server was great (I think her name is Ellie). She was working the whole front of house solo (seated guests, bar, and take out) and did so effortlessly. Forgot to document our meals because we were starving but eveything was yum! ?

Finally got to try Kindred. The onion rings, mushrooms, cauliflower and cauliflower po-boy were extremely delicious. My favorite was the cauliflower po-boy. I tried the fried brussel sprouts, but didn't care for it. There was absolutely no flavor or seasoning. The restaurant is decorated cute and our server was extremely nice.
