This store has the best foo d in new Orleans a great variety fresh they give u a lot and the gumbo is is awesome if they add chicken and shrimp and chicken gizzards its would be awesome I eat here all the time great points I love this store

Kinda sketchy looking corner store from the outside, but the hot plates are extremely affordable (think $6 for a protein and 2 sides!) and the banh mi sandwiches are big and filling. If you want something that's not on the hot bar, call ahead so you don't have to wait, because they make sandwiches to order. Yes, it's small. Yes, it doesn't have curb appeal or even interior appeal, but the food is good and the people are so very nice.

The fried catfish is exquisitely delicate.
We've been coming here for years - for the ya ka mein. It's amazing. Three bowls feeds our family of four with leftovers for under $25. I also sneak the stewed turkey necks on the slick while my husband isn't looking. Hot plates and po boys are also on point. The food is great and the people are even better.
Kind of a small, dirty convenience store with a food counter. Walked right out after seeing that the food didn't look very fresh, even though it's the lunch hour. We walked down to this shop after seeing a long line at our first choice lunch spot, but this was not an alternative spot like other reviews on Yelp had suggested. This is a perfect neighborhood stop to buy cigarettes or a bottled soft drink, but not much beyond that.
Good beer selection. Food is fresh and great for the price. Employees are very friendly.
