Great food at a reasonable price!
The food was excellent and the wait staff was awesome. They were so friendly and sweet. Definitely visit if you are in the area.
Outstanding food!!! We had the gumbo, catfish, fried artichoke, savory Beignets, and more. Everything was cooked perfectly, and reminded us why we came to NOLA—the food! Service was unbeatable. Friendly, helpful, very fast. Venue is clean and bright, and absolutely kid friendly. Our kids really enjoyed the meal, and we saw others as well. It was understandably noisy, but no one seemed to mind. The only issue was an error in order (unlimited catfish vs. broiled catfish), but they fixed it super quickly. This is one of those rare restaurants that deserves a 6th star!
Cool family spot in the garden district. Go early as they do run out of popular items quickly, such as gumbo bienets and soft shell crab.Everything was full of flavor and I get why this has been on tv to show off the local food flare!
This restaurant is wonderful! The food was delicious and the staff was so pleasant. The food was brought to us promptly and we enjoyed every bite!
This used to be a warm, inviting neighborhood place that made up for what was sometimes mediocre (by New Orleans standards) food. Went last night and between a server that seemed disinterested in being there (let alone serving us) and waiting for an hour for our entrees (if the kitchen is slammed let us know up front or at the least come tell us at SOME point) we all concluded we are done. I can no longer recommend Joey-K’s and we’ve removed it from our favorites list. It was a decent run but it’s over.
Staff dinner
We stopped by one late afternoon after a Garden District tour and all four dishes were well received. I got the last of the jambalaya special , another had the fried green tomato sandwich and the drinks were good and reasonable; service was great. I wouldn't hesitate to go again.
We have had a $43 bill and we have been charge $53 on our crédit card ! We have seen this error on our bank website few days after. No answers from the restaurant. We are very very upset.
Our guide on the Hop On Hop Off bus tour recommended this place and we're so glad we listened. I had one of the best sandwiches of my life - fried green tomato and grilled shrimp po' boy. Our whole family enjoyed the meal. The service and atmosphere was excellent. A visit to the garden district should be followed by a visit to this great restaurant.
