Ordered the catfish to go. Was surprised that after I ordered I was told it would be 20 minutes to get 3 pieces of catfish. I'm guessing since it was slow that may have turned the fryars down. Strongly suggest they get a small countertop fryer and keep it hot whenever they turn the big fryers down. The catfish was done well. A little salty on the seasoning sprinkled on top. Still a good value.
It was horrible the fish was old and not crispy at all the rice was just plain rice with corn , peas , and carrots no seasoning at all . The rice was even old and clumped up. So not worth the 60 dollars we just paid to get it. My sons plate was the same the fish was old and dry and the fires had no flavor.
The we had the catfish nuggets and it was awesome. A little spicy but not too much. It was so much food we could have shared one plate. We have more than enough for dinner left over. My only complaints were the bathroom didn't have toliet paper, soap or paper towels. If the was better it would have been 5 stars from me and my boyfriend

I had a Hook's platter with redfish, shrimp, fries, and a side of hush puppies. Everything was so delicious! I did have to wait about 20 minutes, but the food was so good it was well worth the wait. The guy taking orders had to deal with a very rude customer that cussed him out, but he was still nice to the other customers. I'm probably going to go back tomorrow lol!
Great little neighborhoods restaurant that i quickly became a regular when i lived in Nola. Simple fare done right, perfectly seasoned and at a reasonable price. Their fried shrimp was my fave!!
Went there with family ( Cicero ) and was pleasantly surprised. The food was great. The catfish sandwich and fries were well seasoned. The staff was so friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.
I ordered from here from Uber eats quite a few times now. I gave three stars because not a single time have I been giving the correct order. I always get somebody else’s order. And it’s really a shame because the food is actually pretty good. Today I got some thing I am unable to eat however and that’s why I’m leaving this review. I waited quite a long time for my meal for something that I am unable to eat due to health issues it’s very important that you give the right order to the right customer. I’ll probably try one more time but if it’s wrong sadly you have lost a customer. I really do love the food though
Picked up someone’s Uber eats order from here and the aroma was so good I had to circle back and try for myself. I got the oyster poboy which was really good and cut into 2 cute little halves side by side. My boyfriend got the shrimp oyster and catfish platter which was huge and seasoned so good. We ate it all in the car and didn’t even take pictures. Smh will definitely be returning whenever I need my seafood fix!
Late-night needed a Hot Sausage Poboy and Hooks got me right! Long after I ordered I remember an ingredient that I failed to mention while ordering and just like that they fixed it without charging me extra... I didn't have a long wait either.
