Great food reasonably priced. Much better than some of the better known and prettier places we’ve eaten at in Nola. We had the super dome and Benson Boogie. We will be back!
When I tell you this place is good. I mean slap yo momma, shut yo mouth kinda good. One dish was called Superdome (my fav) and I’m not sure about the other. I just know it was delicious. This is what I mean when I want good food. When visiting, this will definitely be the spot. Thank you chef!
First place I went to eat here when visiting and nothing else really compared so it was also the last before I left. The first day we had the superdome and shrimp n grits.... amazing to say the least. Second time I came through got the bourbon street love which was just as good. Spoke to chef Jeff and his son as well and they were very welcoming. Left NOLA almost a week ago and still miss this place! Defs a must try
Please make note its not a dine in place but there are seats outside.It was very hot in there waiting to order but I met someone who states they regularly eat there and gave us her recommendations so I went with those, which was theSuperdomWhich was delicious another meal with a sauce but well prepared and amazing ordered as is.The Benson boogieNote I had sauce on the side....please don't do that as the sauce is what make the meal at least for me (the cream sauce was amazing to say the least) so if I may...order the meal as is.Not there recommendations (smh)The shrimp pasta was a bit blan for our liking.The tea was super sweet (but when the ice melted it was perfect)
Don't judge this book by the cover. Incredible food by an excellent chef. The girl that took our order was very nice and helpful. We had the Heard Dat Pasta and Mardi Gras Mambo. Everything was perfect. The sweet peas and potato salad were like homemade by grandma. The fish was crispy and tasty. And the mac and cheese was wonderful. In an area where yellow cheese is expected, this excelled. A must try for anyone looking for good food.
We made a very large order and all the food was beyond amazing!!! The kids even loved it. Will eat here many more times when back in New Orleans!
Food was delicious. Highly recommend you stop by for the chef specials. So much flavor.
The best chicken and macaroni I’ve ever had! Everything was seasoned to perfection. The cashier was very helpful & offered suggestions when we told her it was our first time coming. Chef Jeff didn’t disappoint. If you’re looking for delicious food try this place.
This is truly a hidden jewel! This Black Owned business food was outstanding!The bread pudding alone is worth the drive.The lady who took my order was the absolute best, very sweet and gave great recommendation!!! Oh make sure you get the punch it was so delicious!FYI the seating is limited but on a pretty day you can definitely sit outside on the picnic tables outside.
Don’t usually leave reviews but oh boy was this food good. I got the seafood extravaganza and my friend got the fried chicken with Mac n cheese, huge portions and we both finished them cos they were so delicious and flavourful. You should definitely go if you’re in the city
