Owner/chef personally makes your meal, and his po-boys deserve top billing. But there other options. Closes a 4.
I had higher expectations. I will first say the owner and his wife are amazing and have 5 star gratuity - super friendly people. The prices are high, but you receive a whole lot of food. Small dine in area - not a lot of tables or area to move around if there is a line of people. We did not have to wait a significantly long time our visit. We ordered the fried shrimp po’boy and the grilled chicken po’boy with an order of cheesy fries. I was not a fan of the bread, it was hard to take a bite. Shrimp was kinda chewy. The chicken po’boy was average - not a lot of flavor. The cheesy fries were not what we were expecting- I guess we expected liquid cheese sauce and not just shredded cheese melted on top... Note: all of the art work on the walls is painted by the owner which is cool.
The fried shrimp po-boy is bangin, best one I had in my 5 days in the city. The small was still a ton of food. Came in near closing (as did what seemed like a bachelor party of loud New York bros) and wasn’t sure if they’d have enough bread but it worked out and Marvin jogged out our sandwiches singing the Rocky theme since we came from Philly. Nothing overrated or overpriced about this place, just a fantastic sandwich made by a nice guy for a fair price. Highly recommend!
Amazing spot for the best fried shrimp po boy. The owners were super friendly and made it a very welcoming environment. Definitely put it on the list if you're in New Orleans.
Excellent service and fantastic food! The blackened fish sandwich was mouthwatering! The perfect blend of spices, which gave it a kick, not not too much of a kick.My wife really enjoyed the shrimp sandwich and said it was just perfect. She had the sandwich in its full glory with everything dressed. Based on her reaction and my food, which was just blackened fish and lettuce, they are NOT covering up the flavor of the 'meat' with condiments. The two people working there were extremely friendly and even struck up casual conversations with everyone.Limited hours, but definitely worth it.Great place for a po boy and I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong with any sandwich!
We accidentally ran into this place and we were so glad we did. Fresh and Very flavorful Po-Boys.I had the shrimp one and my husband the blackened fish. Both very delicious. They are also very friendly and made us feel very welcome. If you are looking for a great Po-Boy this is the place!
My husband and I visited this little joint during our time in New Orleans - it was hands down our favorite. I had the grilled shrimp and he had the fried shrimp - both fully dressed. This will be our return spot everything we are here!
We order Fried shrimp Po boy and fried cat fish po boy. Fish was fresh and delcious. The staff is very friendly. We had a 1 hr wait even for takrout. But cant complain as the food is really good.
The Fried Shrimp Po' Boy was so good! Definitely recommend!
Had the shrimp po'boy. So good. We waited about an hour but it was worth it. Recommend to take it to go. Seating area is very limited. Also be prepared to show your vaccination cards if you do dine in.
