We must really like this place because we return every year when we are in town. We were a large table of 21. Our server Steve was very courteous and sweet really. The restaurant was understaffed because it was Memorial Day. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed and jovial. Oh, my Long Island iced tea was really good, different, but in a good way.
An early dinner there tonight. Waiter was excellent, everything, for the first time in 3 days in NOLA, came on time and correct. Best Rib-eye steak for a long time. Salmon dish was a tad over cooked, but at least there was broccoli, again a first! Nice beer and house red wine. Bit of a mix up on the included sides when it came to the bill, but manager came over and explained and made things right. The waiter still got his 20% because he’d been great. Nice ambience, spacious and just right air con. Recommended.
I ordered from this place once before that experience was awesome. However this time I will never order again the fish portions was awfully small about a quarter size of my last order no flavor on the fish a little salt goes along way but no salt smh not to mention it was very soggy the coleslaw had huge chunks of jalapeno yuck never heard of this in coleslaw needed more dressing my son plate had no lids on the coleslaw and tartar sauce. Sorry but $54.00 for two plates is way to much for what we ate I will never order again hope your experience is better than ours.
Gordon Biersch has amazing beer and food! My recommendations are the Chicken Avocado Sandwich and the Hefeweizen. This location has plenty of TVs at the bar, and we had a great bartender. Wish they still had these restaurants in locations like Texas!
We always dine here when visiting New Orleans. Not sure if Covid has changed it or what’s going on but not what we’ve come to expect. Service was ok but not up to what we’ve had in our past visits. Ordered the meat lovers pizza and house salads. Asked for the soup choices but none were available. The menu seemed very limited. The entire meal, service and overall ambience of the restaurant is just not there anymore. Hopefully things will change for the better and get back to the fine restaurant they once were
We walked here and had apps and delicious beer. So yummy, and the service was great as well. We also enjoyed the giant pretzle!
First time trying Wagyu. Very tasty and affordable. Good idea to eat at the bar. Friendly bartenders and fast food service. Good prices too. The pretzel was a good appetizer. Drinks were amazing. Will be back for sure. Great location too.
I went there last night with my boyfriend. Both the hostess and our server were unaware of menu changes. Our server (Zachary) never put in our appetizer. They were out of so many items, which I fully understand. What made me really mad was when I saw another employee hit his vape inside of the restaurant right next to me. The food was fantastic but I'll never go back.
There are two doors to the restaurant with a sign that says see hostess at stand. There was a stand and we waited for 10 minutes, two bartenders looked right atmy husband and didn’t say a word. We left, then found the front door. Was seated, waited 8 minutes for the server to address us, food was okay, quick delivery, waited another 20 minutes for drink refills, then waited 15 after we were done for him to come back. I wouldn’t return, food was nothing great, service lacking, and the women’s restroom was gross.
Made reservations for dinner at this establishment. Was greeted by the hostess but when I said we had reservations she told us to wait there. She went and got the manager who informed us they were not honoring reservations, even though I had gotten a confirmation text from them the day before. We decided to wait in the bar for a table. As we walked through on the way 2/3 of the tables were empty. I assume they are woefully understaffed. When we were finally given a table the waiter informed us that they were out of 1/2 of there menu items. We made due with a few appetizers and got the heck out of there as soon as we could. One of the worst dining experiences of my life. I was shocked because it has such a good rating. Will never eat there again.
