Seriously a MUST DO! We had a party of 6 and we all were very happy with our food. Kathy took great care of us. We had everything from appetizers--the calamari was so light and not rubbery at all--to salads to the prime rib, snapper special and chicken parm. All of it was amazing. We couldn't resist the desserts....cheesecake--my husband says "Some of the best I have ever had." Tiramisu--delicious and Creme Brulee CLASSIC! We come back every year and are never disappointed.
I have visited Frank's every trip to NOLA. The food is always great as is the service, up until this visit. I was very upset that the OWNER scolded & belittled his staff loudly in front of customers. This is very unprofessional & not good for business. Mr Johnny is usually our waiter & is the best one there. I was told he called out that day. He was also talked about badly for doing so. I will not longer patronize your restaurant . We spent $200. that day which is worth it if not for the bad choices of the owner. I felt bad for the employees having to endure this degradation publicly.
This was probably the worst meal I’ve eaten out!. The jambalaya was indescribable, the gumbo had zero flavor and the red beans and rice were over cooked by hours. Would never recommend or eat here again
Best crab cake I have ever had. Really great bloody marys as well. Would definitely recommend.
We did clams and pasta, and veal with pasta. Taste ok but was soupie. Wish the reduction was more. Not much seasoning. Could have been much better. The canolie was very good the night before we did dinner.
Long lost is the great Frank's of the past. Dirty, poor service and mediocre food is now in its place. They charge 2.00 a bottle for water (even dinner) and when I got white wine instead of chianti, the server actually poured the white wine BACK IN THE BOTTLE! Save your money and expectations. Get dinner at a gas station instead.
If I could put a 0 ⭐ I would this is NOT a place for groups at all especially of "COLOR" tonight was the first time I ever experienced racial profiling1...they put everyone order on 1 check and wouldn'tsplit it even though we witnessed another waitress split another parties check2...charged double and added things we didn't order or receive3...owner Frank EXTREMELY disrespectful and doesn't know how to properly handle situations in his establishment4... please don't dispute your tickets it will only increase they will add extra charges and lock you in the store and call the police until you pay for items that you have and haven't received5...bland food6...owner talks to employees VERY HARSH7...very unwelcoming your not even greeted8...worst experience of our entire tripFor those that read reviews stay away ???
Got a muffuletta to go asked if I could get olive salad on the side as I was not eating it right away.Kid behind the counter said no I would have to buy a whole jar, older lady then gives me a small cup like it’s putting her out. They act like there doing you a favor to serve you.The owner stands out front trying to hawk business, like it’s south beach.
We stumbled upon this authentic Italian restaurant after our original restaurant destination closed their kitchen early. We started with drinks, an Amaretto Sour and an Italian Margarita. Both were mixed well and strong. For dinner we enjoyed the Shrimp Gigliano and Shrimp Alfredo Fettuccine partnered with the fresh made garlic bread. Make sure to try the Garlic Sauce that is bottled and on the table if you like a little hot spice. We ended up buying a few bottles to take home. It felt like we stepped back in time and enjoyed the front window table they sat us at.
Disappointing, to say the least. I ate here the last time I was in NOLA and it was my most memorable dinner at the time. The food was amazing and the service was superb. The owner even came out and sat with us for a long time. However, this visit was awful. The service was not good and we were being rushed out from the minute we got there because they closed in 45 minutes. The chicken Marsala and marinara sauce were amazing, hands down the best I’ve ever had. I just wish the service and atmosphere were what I remembered from my first trip. We also felt the cost of the meal was way more than what we ordered but we were trying to eat fast and leave since they were closing and didn’t want to keep the staff any later. I hope your experience is better than ours was.
