Amazing food and great service.
So disappointed once again. Spent $18.30 on a burrito combo only to get home and realize that there was no steak in the burrito just a mess. This place used to be so good I don’t know what happened. I have given them so many chances I’m finally done.
Decent food and family oriented atmosphere, stayed at an air bnb that was directly over the place and had the cance to eat there a couple of times. 1 dish I didn't care for was the pulled chicken nachos , maybe it was just me but I could swear it tasted like canned chicken .....
always go to the restaurant and order in person. this is the first time i ordered online and i was given half the amount of food i would normally get if i order in store. pretty frustrating considering i paid for extra rice and beans and was given the smallest amount of food. I get a bowl and this order was also in a smaller container than they normally give. tastes good but still hungry after finishing. disappointed
Had regular burrito with grilled chicken, rice and refried beans. The rice was a little dry as was the chicken. I asked them to cut up chicken a little but they refused.The guacamole was fresh and delicious. The brownie was good. I find that some times everything is fresh cooked, sometimes not.. I WAS CONTACTED by management and they graciously addressed my issues. Big thumbs up to Felipe's! I'll definitely return soon!
Felipe’s in general is a good, local Mexican chain. The locations in the French Quarter and South Claiborne are great. But this one on Carrollton kinda sucks. The employees here don’t seem to care about doing a good job. Just goofing off and barely paying attention to the customers. I had to go back and ask them to add cotija cheese and avocado to my bowl of soup (both things are listed as standard ingredients in the soup).I ordered chips and guac. But they didn’t give me any guac, so I had to get up and go ask for that too.Just a general lack of professionalism and care here.And where are the Latinos y latinas? I know it’s kind of silly, and not necessary, but I actually like seeing let Latinx people working at Latin culture restaurants. Just as we all like to get sushi prepared by actual Japanese sushi chefs.Yeah, this location has really gone down hill unfortunately. Bring back the love and professionalism!
Yesterday night 1-20-2022 at 10:50 I received the complete wrong order from Uber eats. I called the restaurant to inform them that I will be driving there to pick up my order I was told that the restaurant will be closing in the next 13 mins I live 3 mins away. When I got there a young man I’m assuming works the line was being very sarcastic and condescending when talking to me and the staff as a whole seemed uninterested in helping me. I didn’t ask to remake my order I was just looking for it. The staff didn’t even know where it was after I was there for 10mins my order was in the restaurant next to this one. When I walked over there the young man proceeded to say something under his breath while he directed me to the next restaurant. Over all I felt unwelcome and disrespected. I understand y’all were closing and that could have been handled differently I didn’t ask you to remake the food so I don’t understand why you would disrespect a customer if you spent 48 dollars on food I’m sure you would have reacted differently.
