This place is great, for sure the best coffee in the close area. They are typically busy mornings/weekends (as is every place in the quarter), so plan accordingly, but the wait is worth it. They have a LOT of coffee and food options, so you're sure to find something you're into. The staff is also really kind and efficient. Even if the line is long, it'll go pretty fast. The indoor/outdoor seating is really awesome.
This is our absolute favorite cafe in the quarter. The staff is always super kind and friendly. I cannot express that enough. We love the avocado toast and lox and bagels. Everything is great. I don’t drink coffee but Kim does and she loves all the crazy choices. I literally hate anything to do with coffee but it actually smelled good. I usually get the lemon ginger tea. It starts my day off right. They are one of the few establishments in the quarter that remained open for business during Covid (and Post Katrina). They did such a good job with dealing with all that. There is often a local crowd hanging out having all kinds of conversations. Besides the fact their menu is full of delicious breakfast foods and fine homemade pastries, they are good people.
Close to the French Market and Frenchman St, we went to Cafe Envie to get a quick breakfast. The food was really good and the employees were super nice, and efficient. My stomach was upset that morning but their food and a couple cups of their lemon ginger iced tea brought me back to life! I got one cup of tea and decided to get another; if you save your cup, refills are only a dollar! My partner said the coffee was good too. They had a bunch of morning cocktails that I would have loved to try... maybe next time!
Terrible cook staff. Terrible to their customers. The cook cussed me out and blamed me for trashing the bathroom when I didn’t even go in it. He physically violated me and disrespected me, called me white trash (he is black) and they double charged me for my food on my card because of the incident. And I didn’t even do ANYTHING AT ALL!
So glad we had breakfast and coffee here on our last day. Probably would have went more than once if we came earlier! Iced Mocha was great and the breakfast n’ a go cup is delicious!!
So delicious. We were walking by and I had to stop in to try their coffee. I loved it. The latte was wonderful. They had milk alternative options which is always nice. I asked the barista what he recommended and I got a latte with irish cream and toffee nut. I was very impressed and really wanted to back the next day.We also ordered some pastries. They were not the best. Not bad but kinda dry. I wouldnt order cake there again. This place is definitely worth the stop.
Suggested by our host at Royal Barracks Guest house and we followed her advice 3 times!!! Excellent coffee and breakfast was such a treat! Enjoyed the shrimp and grits and a delicious croissant topped with fresh fruit! Really appreciated that they REQUIRED a mask and your vaccination info to be served!!!
I’m just visiting and decided to stop in after visiting the Jazz museum. It was a really great find. The boozy tea is great, the alcohol wasn’t overpowering and the drink actually tasted good. I also tried shrimp & grits for the first time, after being a vegetarian for 11 years. It was wonderful! My boyfriend stole two of my shrimp because they were so good. Wish I had gotten pics of our main dishes, but we devoured it.The bakery and pastries are wonderful too! The fruit is fresh and I loved the home made cream cheese. This came home with me for dessert later.
A nice corner cafe with a variety of coffee & tea options (with alcohol). Food was great, everyone was very much satisfied. Two of us ordered the Eggs Envie and it was delicious. Coffee was strong.
