This was our first visit to Doris Metropolitan and we had reservations at the bar. Everything was top notch - food, cocktails, service. Will definitely return

You can’t call yourself a quality service restaurant when you refuse to cater to people of all color, both consumer wise and employee wise. Treating people as if they’re beneath you because of the color of their skin is unacceptable. I have noticed that you took down my post because you didn’t like it. I guess the truth stings..,,

The General Manager fired my son because his chef cursed my son out and always disrespect him. Restaurant is too expensive to me having big rats around food. The chef treat the employees like dogs talk to them bad and called them out their names. My son reported him and nothing was done about it. Be careful of where u sit and eat especially spending your money. This is a true fact about this place. Use some of that money and pay for pest control!!!!

The moment you walk in the door until you leave you feel the passion that everyone here has for what they are doing. Rarely would I ever mention the bread at the restaurant but here it needs to be noted. Great bread and a choice of olive oil or a selection of spreads are offered. Mai our server was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and the high quality of the food that was offered. You could tell that she truly enjoyed what she was doing and loved sharing with the customers what they were about to enjoy. The sweetbreads, a personal favorite, were incredible. The filet with bone marrow was superb. We were a party of four and we shared everything. It was all wonderful. Don't pass up desserts either. Thank you for such a memorable evening!

Butchers Cut. Phenomenal!

Food was great, staff very friendly. You can not go wrong with the Classified Cut!! All of their steaks are great thou. Will come back. It was cheap of the restaurant to charge $2.50 a person for tap water.

What a bijou in the French quarter! It started with oven warm breads (some focaccia / and some roll with a yeast dough). That was stunning to begin with. The beetroot with goat cheese was of superb seasoning, the salmon tartar was a bit overspiced with sesame imo but still a great dish. The starters were nicely presented. The meats were cooked to perfection, only downer were the side dishes - wich were no mach for the other food performance. Waiters were very attentive and good trained. We had a great eavening and the 5 starts are very well deserved. Congrats!

Made reservations well in advance for our family to celebrate two people in our group turning 50. Has requested outdoor seating area. Called to confirm everything will go as planned but they didn’t have record of reservation . Unacceptable. Even saying we will be by to show the confirmation, she said sorry but we are booked. Hmmm... we had a reservation. Suddenly they say there’s a cancellation but an hour later than we had scheduled . We had to sit inside instead and could barely hear each other. Server says fish has fingerling potatoes included. When that wasn’t on the dish we asked and he said he’d check but never came back. Other food was good but the experience wasn’t right with what happened. So much for a birthday celebration that we had planned.

From the moment we walked in we knew that this was going to be a great experience. Top notch service and outstanding steaks. Highly recommended.

I live out of town, moving to NOLA, been to Doris numerous times never had a weak meal until tonight. My wife’s meal was great the service was, too. My steak was weak. Both steaks were served way too cool. Mine was almost cold. Both ordered our steaks medium rare, wife’s was medium rare mine was medium at best. I told the waiter about it said I didn’t want anything comped because it discredited my criticism. He comped the desert, to which I very much protested. Even though getting a comped desert at a fine steak restaurant never adequately corrects the weak steak. The $65 Strip was Medium at best, cool to the touch when served and way too much gristle or tendon for a prime cut of beef. Had a wonderful bottle of Pomerol 2014 that was served too warm and had to send it back to cool to the correct temperature. Very disappointing for what has always been a first class establishment.
