The food was amazing but the service was really bad. We went during a non-peak time so not many table but our sever would never return to fill out waters (95 degrees outside) and would never take away our empty plates until after we left. Food was still good though.
Food was good and hot. Service was kinda slow but it looked like only one person was actually taking orders so he was running around. Donât fault him for that

Oysters were warm and not presented on a bed of ice. Peel and eat shrimp were okay and the crab cakes were about a 6 out of 10.. Desire used to be much better cleaner and more appealing⦠Sorry but we probably will not be back.

The dozen oysters were ok. Not really filling. What was problematic for me Iâd that the waiter also lost my credit card. He took it and ran the credit card and returned the case with the bill in it. My credit card was not there. At first I though I had returned it to my wallet. Then I frantically looked for it before asking the waiter. He found it in the pocket in his apron. This type of mistake is never excusable.
Gumbo are okay but like for real, do you even try the steak???? It taste so wired and salty I couldn’t even get it done. And the oyster are small and not taste good and average. Honestly, I definitely don’t recommend you come here. You have a lot of choices.

Absolutely the best char broiled oysters in all of New Orleans. Host and wait staff very friendly and in tune with their patrons needs. If you haven’t tried desire oyster bar what are you waiting for?
