The bar was virtually opposite our hotel and had a good menu outside on the wall so we decided to try it. We walked in, nobody to greet us so went and sat in a booth, a miserable man walked up and virtually threw the menu on the table and asked for I.d. I handed him my UK driving licence which had been excepted everywhere on our 3 week tour from D.C down to New Orleans. Rudely he said he couldn’t except it, wanted to see our passports and by state law we shouldn’t even be in the building! In all the 15 or so visits we have made to the states we have never met such a horrible, rude server. Like I said, if your from the U.K stay away and find somewhere that appreciates your customs.

We had liked the look of the menu whilst walking past earlier. Four of us entered. There were several empty booths and we sat in one. We are two couples, all seniors. The men walked to the bar to see what beers were on draught.. A miserable man approached us. He put 2 menus on the table. He then asked for our id. We duly got out our U.K. photo driving licences which had been accepted everywhere else. He was loud and rude and said these were no good for id. He could only serve us if we had our passports. He was loud, rude and intimidating. We left. Our worst experience in Anew Orleans, actually in our US tour

Food is average. Felt like a biker bar, which is fine if you like that. Nice waitress was very attentive.

Great soft-bread new orleans PoBoy. Reasonable price. Good mixed drinks. Fast service, small cozy atmosphere.

We’re British we are In our 30s our ID was rejected as its foreign… first time in the states I’ve heard something so stupid. Don’t waste your time if you’re not an American. Plenty of other options nearby without the rude staff.

The ONLY plus- you will usually find a place to sit. The reason? An uninspired beer list and terrible food. The servers turn the tables so service is quick but that food tho. Expect a po boy with fish or crawdads fried to hard dry nuggets. The mayo lettuce and tomato thrown together like a junior high boy late for a video game. Its not good

Great find!! The po boys were delicious. Will absolutely be back on our next visit to New Orleans. Two thumbs up. Friendly waitress. Some outdoor seating but it’s in the sun on the street.

Great food, great service, awesome value, authentic NOLA experience. You won’t regret a visit. Went to a neighboring restaurant earlier…Makin Bakin. Regretted the time investment. Glad we found this local gem!

We stopped here for a few drinks and some food on a very busy Saturday night during a Mardi Gras parade. We spoke for some time to a nice lady who worked there ( she was originally from Oklahoma City ). It was our first night in New Orleans and the experience could have been a little overwhelming. Instead we had a relaxing time, talking to friendly staff and enjoyed our burgers ( they serve veggie burgers as well ). Thumbs up to Deja Vu!

Found this cool little joint after a late night at the parades. Loved the atmosphere and the staff were great. Food was pretty good and they stayed open late, which meets criteria! Must be 21 to get in though!
