Datdog was awesome! I tried the Chicago dog and it was excellent! I really liked that they chopped the tomatoes on the hot dog and although not wholly traditional it made for better eating. I loved the outdoor seating! Definitely a local spot I would go to when in New Orleans again.
Amazing dogs, dots and drinks.Love the seadog with Crawfish etouffe. Tots with cheese, bacon and ranch are excellent.Cocktails are good, I particularly enjoyed the Blackberry Mule.A great space with lots of outdoor seating
Had a terrible experience I went with a group of 15 students that are college bound and have bright futures from doctors to engineers and the establishment continued to serve people that came in after us then was very rude when asked about our order and how they served us one guy even knocked over a drink while putting food down and didn't apologize nor replace it never ever again and hotdogs are my favorite food but the lack of customer service to an different group was horrible. But it was animal friendly they got treated better.
Awesome food, and great atmosphere! There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating options. We had to take our items takeout this time, but our food was packaged neatly, made fresh, and tasted awesome. They are enforcing masks per the city of NOLA (2/14/2022) so don’t leave yours at home.

This used to be my favorite Dat Dog location. Tried to come last night, opened the door to enter, and instantly stopped by someone saying they were closed early due to being slow.Tonight, opened door to enter, someone came walking up behind us outside saying "Nuh-uh, read the door!" We then closed the entrance door and saw only a sign that had hours listed (of which we were there before closing hours by 45 min). Then, the person said they were closing early due to being short staffed. I get it, it's a pandemic and things are tough right now, however they were very rude about it, and not sure what we were supposed to read on the door??? We didn't even want food there, just to-go, but we weren't even offered an option. Both nights we also saw people outside eating on the patio area.Do better. Be better.
Vegan bratwurst is really good, even though I normally love their alligator or crayfish options. Delicious toppings as well, very fresh!
Terrible customer service - Order was cold and inaccurate. It’s unfortunate because I’ve always loved Dat Dog but this visit was just unacceptable. Worst part.. the employees were openly bashing customers with each other. Sadly, this is goodbye Dat Dog.Update : Your owner response says it all. Sorry I “feel this way” - Good job on making a bad experience even worse. No wonder why your employees are so rude.
Ate here two nights. The alligator dog was good. The Guinness dog was outstanding. The vegan options were also very good. Great street atmosphere and very friendly and entertaining staff.
