My wife and I had a wedding reception/dinner here this weekend for 40 people and everything was perfect. The paella and the apps were amazing, and the service exceeded our high expectations. They also had an outstanding wine selection, and we could not be happier with how this turned out. Thanks to everyone on the Costera team for a fantastic party.

Great Spanish restaurant uptown with great cuisine. Try the chefs meal. You will not be disappointed.

Costera is my go to restaurant in New Orleans! I am celiac, and thus gluten free. To my delight there is a gluten free menu!! <3 Plentiful tapas dishes on the menu for gf and even more for non-gf customers. So delicious! A great wine list and superb customer service I highly recommend Costera! If you are gluten free and are looking for a restaurant I highly highly recommend this gem!

Always a five start experience. This is our favorite restaurant in New Orleans. This last visit we had the paella which words cannot do it justice. All of the depth of flavors just sing. The fish a la plancha is also our staple. The latest was a mountain of redfish with fresh vegetables. The new cheesecake dessert with orange glaze is divine, light fluffy, not a heavy cheesecake. I would go just for this dessert. The portions are never skimpy even for tapas. We love to go for Happy Hour. Avoid the crowds and the bar and tapas specials are well worth it. Wait staff is always prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable especially about the bar as well. This is the best curated bar in New Orleans.

Great atmosphere, awesome service and a delicious meal makes for a memorable evening! Definitely going to return on our next visit to NOLA.

I had a fabulous time. Went with a few friends while visiting and all of the food was on point. It's a tapas place, hence you share your food and it comes from the kitchen in the order it's ready. The menu is diverse and has lot's of sea food options. The items we had were:- Blistered Shishito Peppers with Arbequina and Maldon (amazing for snaking, beware that apparently 1 out of 10 is spicy)- Charred Romaine with Roasted Fall Vegetables and Buttermilk Dressing (so good and great portion to share for 3-4 people, texture and flavor on point)- Lamb and Beef Albondigas with Tomato, Fresh Cheese, and Smoked Peppers (these are like meatballs, their 4 per order and amazing to eat, soft and meaty)- Mixed Roasted Mushrooms with Sourdough Croutons and Warm Egg Yolk (this one was unexpected, they were delicious, good amount as well and well cooked)As for dessert we had the:- Trio House Made Ice Cream (they describe it like a cortado coffee, but in ice cream, sooo good and wakes you up for the next location)- Salted Honey Tart (nice size, not too big and not too small, my friends loved it and nothing was left). Also, I would pair this with a nice wine, although they have cocktails as well. This wine is strong but not too strong, a good wine that makes peace with those that like stronger wines and those that like softer wines. All in all, a good location to eat. I recommend making a reservation if a larger party or weekend as they also sometimes do events here.

Every single thing we ordered was superb. I want to get hungry and do it all over again. Our server, Charles, made our dinner an amazing experience.

The appetizers are delicious - we had the beet goat cheese salad, papas bravas and blue crab salad. For entrees - the terres major steak was great, but the scallops a la plancha were kind of a let down. All in all, the restaurant service is fantastic, wine selections were in point, and atmosphere is perfect for date night or a night out with friends.

We were so excited for our first reveillon dinner experience - in NOLA! We deliberated over all of our restaurant options and finally settled on Costera. We were not disappointed - or hungry - when we left!We booked a reservation (we went early when they opened; I don't think a reservation is really necessary between 1600 and 1700, but it filled up quickly after 1700 so I would advise making a reservation after that point). Costera is in a good location where you can find safe street parking at no cost that's close to the restaurant. Prices were comparable to most nicer restaurants downtown who are also doing reveillon options. We paid about $170 for 2 people (including tip).Do note that if you want to do the reveillon dinner, it is family style so everyone at the table will have to do it. You can, of course, order other things off the menu, but you'll be paying for everyone in your group to do the reveillon. Now for the food: AMAZING. For their reveillon, you don't make any choices; the chef curates your menu and it's kind of a surprise what comes out. There is a menu posted online on some third-party websites, but what were served was slightly different. We personally loved the surprise - gave us a chance to try foods we may not have otherwise chosen. And we didn't realize that each of the first 3 courses came with multiple dishes for us to taste and share. Everything was amazing. If you're not doing the reveillon dinner, order their charred romaine. I know it sounds weird, and I probably wouldn't have chosen it myself, but it was seriously my favorite dish of the night. Every dish was phenomenal - flavorful, cooked to perfection, the right temperature, plates beautifully.Attached are photos of some of our food. Regretfully, I didn't get photos of our MAIN course...just started chowing down too fast! But the main course was a red fish (red snapper?) and wilted broccoli. Also, I will add that their staff were highly attentive (without being annoying), very friendly and polite, and overall provided fantastic service. They really made the whole experience even better. And we did show our proof of vaccination at the front desk for those who will wonder about that.

Tried their Reveillon inspired tasting menu before Xmas and it was amazing. 4 courses and almost every single thing was perfection. Exciting Spanish tastes and flavors. Service was slow to start, not sure why the food took forever/a bottle of wine to start coming out, but great once it got going. Servers were lovely and attentive. Cant wait to check out happy hour
