I wasn't as blown away as I expected to be. But I did get to try so new and interesting dishes. Like the rabbit potpie. It was really good. But the alligator and pork chop weren't that great. 4 stars for ambiance and our server was amazing.

I would have given it 2 stars because the waiter was nice. But really, as someone who LOVES FOOD- this is not it. If you’re looking for flavor, for variety, this is not the place you want to be. The chicken in the gumbo was good by itself. The alligator bites were okay. The drinks were not my cup to tea. Granted I’m only giving it one star based off of my opinion. It was an elegant place. But for the price you pay, I feel like there should be more flavor and just better food. Extremely disappointed.

We were lucky to be able to make a reservation the day before since we have been told how popular this place is. Great service, I was celebrating a special occasion with my husband and they offered us 2 complimentary welcome drinks without even asking. Food is OK, would definitely recommend the oysters.

This restaurant had an unique concept but food was a little pricey relative to their portions. We got the gulf fish and rabbit dumplings as entrees based on the server's recommendations. This gulf fish was $40, which was expensive compared to other restaurants. It tasted ok but not exceptional. The rabbit & dumplings was full of flavour. I can tell that it took time to cook it but there were barely any pieces of rabbit in the dish. The portion was small. The boudin and alligator were definitely the stars of the meal.I would definitely come back but try other mains.

Welcome to a clean, simple yet delicate foodie shop in New Orleans. The menu is a hybrid authentic mix of Louisiana culture and high-brow delicatessen. Tonight I had the alligator, oysters, and a beef dish. The favorite was short rib which was perfectly marbled and tender, like a pot roast but this was grounded in flavors that make your taste buds feel the magic.

Can’t go wrong with anything here, but the fried alligator, oysters in chili garlic butter, and mac n cheese were excellent to share!

Good to have a try - business meetings - though limited choices Not a lot vegetarian options or salad caelection - good portion

An amazing restaurant a little off the main NOLA tourist traps (still a bit pricey though). Great atmosphere, service, drinks (including nice beer selection) and absolutely fabulous food. I had the best gumbo of my life and fantastic gator bites. The rabbit with dumplings was also great, just a little killed with too much of black pepper. Now it breaks my heart to remove the one star, but the three tiny slices of the head cheese for 14 bucks were just ridiculous. Make it an appetizer for half price and still add at least one slice..

We headed out to go to the Cochon Butcher location but stopped into Cochon just to see if we could grab a table without a reservation. (Book a table for sure if you want to go) We were lucky that 3 seats were available at the "Chef's Bar". We got to watch the action and loved it! The food was fabulous, we had the red fish with a side of grits and the short ribs. The German chocolate pie was really yummy for dessert. Everything we saw being prepared looked fabulous. We would visit again for sure!

We had several meals that we split and all were amazing, but the fried oysters were outstanding, and should be a highlight in your meal. The brussels sprouts were amazing too.
