After flying in to NOLA to visit family in the neighborhood, this was the perfect spot to enjoy some outstanding wine and delicious food. Staff is super friendly and attentive, the place is charming, and there are great menu options -- including grilled octopus and risotto.
Honestly the beignet dessert was a highlight! The most light, airy, and fluffy beignets and when paired with the mouse- delightful! I love deviled eggs and salmon but this smoked salmon deviled eggs appetizer did not do it for me- too fishy so I wouldn’t recommend that. Although the french fries were great with the aioli, the peanut sauce was interesting. Not sure it fully worked but an interesting experience. The veggie risotto was satisfying but honestly the dessert is the real reason I’m going with 5/5. Also our server was extremely sweet!
We enjoyed our visit sitting outside with excellent cocktails and wine. We shared the salad du jour and while branzino fish. So freaking good.

Compare your receipt when you get your credit card bill -- they pad the tip. And the steak's tough and the service is cold and unprofessional.
I normally don't leave reviews but I felt people needed to know our experience. The main problems we had were:1) bad service2) extremely over salted foodWe sat down at the restaurant and our server immediately seemed rushed and short with us. We put in our drink and food orders. Once our food was brought out, we didn't see our server again. We had to ask another server for more water and our check when we were ready.As for the food, it was so salty it felt spiteful. We ordered a steak board and salads, and really wanted to enjoy them because of so many good reviews. Any bite from either of our plates would find the smallest cut in your mouth and exploit it. We ended up not being able to finish and skipped dessert after being excited when we initially sat down.

Great atmosphere, great cheese platters and drinks
We love Chais Delachaise. Great neighborhood spot with comfortable calm setting and nice outdoor space. I had the whole fish entree which was lovely. We enjoy coming for dinner or just to hang out.
