Good dive bar, good value food. Like lots of places some of the Cajun food is very salty.I've heard people back of on the salt on the cat fish. A better option than many places in Bourbon street. Friendly staff.Go check it out. Not touristy. Authentic.

First time having a PoBoy! It was so good! Bartender was nice. We spent our honeymoon in NOLA and had a great time. Can’t wait to go back.

Food is solid drinks are strong! It's a low key bar but the bartender is attentive and it's much more chill than most of town.Had two good drinks and a great po boy for 20 bucks. Hard to beat that!

The food and service were excellent! The Muffelleta was great! A panini press was added to it, but the flavor was authentic. Hanging with the locals, or those lucky enough to find this gem was a blast!!!

We came to try the poboys. It was not far from the Quarter to walk there. We didn't know you had to be 21 to enter though, but the teens were allowed to sit out front and eat. There were 3 metal tables on the sidewalk to sit. The food was pretty good, but no good vegetarian options. If you want a dive bar, it is a good place, but skip it with the familym

not really sure why this place has such amazing reviews. these other reviewers need their taste buds checked or their food reviwer license revoked.the signs on the wall are funny though.it is a grungy dive bar serving oily bar food. my group got gumbo (no veggies, just rice and sausage, & highly over salted), chicken wings (dry), jumbalaya, fried oysters (way more fries than oysters), cuban sandwich (crazy oily), and other things. everything was either average or below average. nothing really fantastic about it. every single person in our group if 7 said the food was mediocre. the friend who got the gumbo was so disappointed by it that when we went back to our home state he made his own gumbo. they were out of alligator sausage when we went, which was part of the draw.we were there after 8PM to just get take out back to our airbnb. it was pouring rain (tornado and gale force winds alert). the bartender made one of our friends (2 months from turning 21) go outside because they had one poker machine in the way back. he wouldnt even let her stay 5 minutes to place her food order with us. she had to run back into the rain to the car to text us her order. but on our way out there were two guys who were definitely not 21 yet and the bartender didnt even bother checking their IDs.the cook in the back looked like he was angry at the world when he brought out our orders. we wanted to like this place but there wasn't anything redeeming about it.

Stopped in here 4 times while in New Orleans. First three times were during the day and an excellent experience. 4th time was in the evening. The female attending the bar was really rude and her customer skills were terrible. Great place, great food, great pricing but you have one bad apple spoiling the bunch....

Out of towners staying in the Roosevelt for Mardi Gras (03/01/22). Female bartender was extremely rude and acted like she didn't want to serve my girlfriend or I and we didn't feel welcome. Eye rolls and gossiping with others while pointing towards us. Male bartender served us half frozen Bud Lights. We love hole-in-the-wall bars and felt at home coming to a place like this only for it to be a let down by the extremely rude service. Pass on this place as the area has many other options.

Mask Nazis... I was looking forward to a fabulous lunch, but the bartender wanted me to apply a face diaper upon entering. Never mind the guy outside smoking five feet from the front door. People were maskless at the bar. I usually carry a granola bar with me since food deactivates the virus, but logic doesn't apply with these people.

Sadly there cook did not show up the night we went. But the staff were very nice anyway
