Excellent. I would highly recommend it. The food was delicious and abundant. The Jazz trio was amazing, if you like Billie holiday...there she is. Unforgettable.
There are many options for red beans & rice in NOLA but I felt this restaurant had hands down the exact red beans & rice I was craving
One of the must see attractions of New Orleans. Always great live music, such as the Susanne Ortner Trio last night. Fabulous food, including red beans and rice and brats. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. A real nice neighborhood place on Esplanade.
Delicious brunch and nice jazz music on a Sunday. The biscuits are interesting, heavy and made in a large pan, but rich and tasty. Shrimp was cooked well and the sauces were tasty, but maybe a bit too salty. Still great overall.
What a great find. Very cute bar. Adam's piano skills are excellent. Food was delicious. I got boudin meatballs and potato salad. Definitely divine. Be careful with the ghost pepper burger and wings...took out 2 spice savvy adults!
Okay experience. It was Memorial Day, early afternoon, so they seemed to be short-staffed with just the one bartender and one cook before live music later that night. Bartender was very nice and extremely communicative that she was busy and the wait for food might be longer than normal, even turning some people away. We didn't wait very long and she was attentive - she was just super frazzled the whole time. Food was good/average. Nice dive spot.
Brunch was nice. Good food, friendly staff and a fun jazz band. Nothing about the venue is fancy, but it was worth a visit! Sunday brunch reservations are needed. The day we went they had two seatings.
Great as always! ‘Some Like it Hot’ jazz in the back room. Small, casual, great atmosphere and great service. Don’t get in a hurry for your food. Come for the local music and the experience.
We got into town late and this was the nearest place that sold food & was still open. Imagine our pleasant surprise that the food was phenomenal and the service was outstanding! Would highly recommend ???
