Best quick burger and hotdogs in mid city. They are fast and efficient. The hickory smoke sauce is like Colonel Sanders recipe for chicken, to die for.
Love Bud's but we were next door at Morning Call Coffee Stand. The best beignets in the city or surrounding area. The other place is a wanna be.

Worst burger I’ve had in a long time. Ordered a #6, waited 30+ minutes for a COLD BURGER. Fries were unsalted. While I waited I watched 2 people behind the counter casually talking to each other while their was a 10+ person line of people waiting to order. These people don’t know what a hurry is. Go to Wendy’s because at least your food will be hot.
Buds food is good as always but the customer service at the city park location is abysmal. The woman who looks like the manager is the rudest. They all look like a deer in headlights and it takes them 20 or 30 minutes to fill one order even when there's only like 2 or 3 people in the whole place. They almost look like they're moving slow on purpose.

My brother and I when we were very little we would sing Three Dog Night’s Joy To The World at Bud’s Broiler at City Park with our dad singing along with us. Years later we frequented what is now Ben’s Burgers (which we recommend) so we’re happy to find Bud’s is still around!
The person making the burgers was eating the cheese off the counter. He placed the cheese in his mouth with his hands touching his lips. He then grabbed a hamburger bun and proceeded to make another sandwich, disgusting.
Horrific. Patty was smooshed super flat, burnt to a crisp, dried out, AND not even slightly hot. Cheese was not melted at all. Chili dog was not much better. Low quality tiny dog served on a huge bun so it was basically all bread. Also not especially hot.
