Our first stop on the NOLA trip. We are staying in the garden district and this was about a 5 min drive or 15 minute walk. We came late , and despite my protests about this being a French vibe, my sister requested a sangria. The bartender did an excellent mashup and while it did not taste like sangria, the beverage was delightful. I had the iced tea/whiskey cocktail and it was refreshing without tasting like a premix. I recommend both drinks. I'm allergic to shellfish. The waitress was accommodating and comfortable with recommending safe foods. I wasn't super hungry so I had the gougeres. They were the perfect light fluffy bite and the dipping sauce complimented the appetizer but wasn't necessary. My sister had the burger and fries and was in love. The patio had a cute vibe as well.
Great cocktails. The burger and crab claws were really good. Friendly service. Will definitely be back
Called in advance to reserve the cool sofa table area for me and my party of five. Staff was super helpful and helped us get it reserved. The food was amazing, if you think you’re gonna come here for basic bar food you were completely in the wrong. Straight up $$$ food in a $$ environment and price. Their burgers are insane. The sweet potato chip and green pepper dip is out of this world. The dip is so light and refreshing, apparently it was made with local yogurt from a rancher nearby. 10/10 I will definitely be coming back again with my friends
Admittedly I only had a drink or two here at the end of a long day, but the beer was good (so was the selection) and the fries looked amazing. Ended up running into a bartender from another place here too; small world.
Wow, simply wow. Big shout out to CJ for taking care of me at the bar, food and drink wise. The burger and fries were an outstanding simple recommendation that far exceeded not only my expectations but even my dinner at Coquette.
They charged over $5 under “s/c security”. Called to ask and they said that is a standard charge for the police they hire to protect the people sitting in the outside patio from people grabbing their stuff.” Totally serious. Never heard of a place putting their security bill on their customers. Not that it matters, but we were inside. Also was hard to hear out friends talk as it’s loud, Having said that, it’s a cute place and the employees were nice.
The manager tonight after serving us drinks and food decided to enforce a “gray policy” to cut us off from service because there was a baby at the table??? The server had no problem serving us to begin with. In the past we have dined many times and all of a sudden they said because of the tavern license they are unable to serve us. The way the server approached us was extremely disrespectful this establishment is not tailored to locals and we will not go back. My advice as a local GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
Very fresh and elevated burger! The goat cheese & crostinis appetizer was alright but not as satisfying as I wanted. The salad was also just okay. Portions on the smaller side.
Popped in for some late night cocktails and ended up getting some snacks because why not. Loved the ambiance of sitting at the bar and the cocktails were some of the best in the city- truly craft. We had onion dip and wings- both were amazing! The house potato chips with the onion dip were the best chips I’ve ever had! All the drinks we tried were delish.
The service was Horrible! The waiters were beyond rude. I thought maybe it was a bad night so I came back another night and they were rude again. They were very unhelpful and actually mean, and act as if they are doing me a HUGE favor just to wait on me. Their attitude changes instantly when the owner is around. However the minute he steps into the kitchen the smiles fade and the rude attitude begins again. Short answer are common "may I sit here " --- NO! ( no explanation no other info ) .... "could you recommend a sweet white wine " ---answer : " we don't have any sweet wines " ( end of conversation )...Walking away in the middle of my order ?! At closing time " Can i take that from you"...my answer " not yet i'm just finishing up " then when i look down they take the food away anyway .I have never felt this unwanted at any restaurant in New Orleans. Also the General Manager Jessie Martin , is Very rude on the phone , and has a superiority complex. Im imagining this attitude comes from the top down. First time he hung up on me, second time I said " what was your name again " ---- "I never told you my name " ....well may i kindly have your name...."IM THE GENERAL MANAGER "I heard staff insulting other customers ?!I'm expecting a CYA from the staff however im still in shock at this experience
