My dining experience started off shaky. I stood at the hostess stand for several minutes and wasn't greeted. I sat myself at the bar. The male bartender was super friendly and chatty. The woman not so much. I greeted her as she gave my a cup of water. She didn't speak back she just turned and walked away. Love the food. Good quality but didn't come out very hot. The lobster was cooked well and tender. The seasoning on point as well. Didn't eat much of the potatoes as they were too hard but the flavor on the potatoes was chef kiss.

Our server was terrific. Thank you, Bailey, for being so sweet! I truly enjoyed having you as our server. Let’s be honest this place is overrated. It comes way too highly recommended for the food to pretty much be basic. Although my potatoes were nicely seasoned, my chicken sandwich was not so much. The presentation was very nice (please see photos), appetizers were also very delicious, but the meal was not worth the hour wait outside in the rain. The hostess was friendly when we first arrived; however, when checking to see where on the list, we were met with extreme attitude. Understandable that this is a busy establishment; however, to be met with attitude honestly made me want to leave. However, I decided to give it a chance. I most likely will not return to this establishment should I choose to come back to NOLA.

Great atmosphere. The drinks were better than the food. Their handmade drinks are the BEST! I mean I've never had anything like them. Worth a visit just to pop in and buy the lemonades.

What a wonderful little gem in NOLA! My husband follows a mostly plant-based diet, so I’m always on the lookout for good vegan joints when we are traveling. We both had the vegan bearcat—tofu scramble, crispy potatoes, black bean sausage—with vegan pancakes on the side. Everything we ordered was delicious, but we both felt like the potatoes were too charred and salty for us. Also, the bottled juices we got were so refreshing! BearCat had a nice ambiance and the staff member who took care of us was super friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that this place doesn’t let you make reservations. We had to stand around for ~40 minutes outside in the scorching heat (not particularly fun while seven months pregnant). Other than that, this place stood out as one of our top vegan spots in the city. It’s worth the wait, but please, please start accepting reservations.

Delicious, great atmosphere, expert coffee and tea. Was quite crowded so don't expect to eat quickly - but we got our drinks first, and then food was served at the same time and the right temperature. Excellent.

We went to eat and server was looking at us with a horrible face if we did something to him. He was talking all around the restaurant about us never came back to the table after we got our food bad experience by the way don’t hire g a y people with attitude because if I were to be in a bad mood something serious would of had happen.

OMG!!!!! What a breakfast!!! Finding this treasure on our first morning in NOLA sets the stage for an awesome trip. She had their Rancheros (the best she said she ever had) and I had their Bearcat Breakfast, with eggs, thick bacon, crisp home fried potatoes, and a single pancake on the side. When I asked for blueberries in the pancake, they happily acquiesced and it came cooked well done, yet so light and fluffy that it melted in my mouth! If you are into mimosas, you are in for a real treat! Ours was perfectly balanced and the perfect accompaniment to our meal. If you are in NOLA for even just one morning, don’t miss this gem! They are only open for breakfast and lunch, so hop to it!

OMG! If you are looking for what I feel has to be the BEST brunch experience EVER, fun staff, great hangout and perfect atmosphere indoors and outdoors, then you will love BEARCAT. Suggest to get in their wait list for seating because this place is popular but our wait wasn't long at all. Once seated we ordered mimosas (very good) and my wife got the Steak, egg and cheese burrito bowl with some bacon and I got the Vegan Ranchero with egg whites and Cauliflower grits and it was so amazing! Everything came out quick, the food was fresh and flavorful with his size portions. If don't order pickup when we leave NOLA, I'm definitely coming back to eat here when I visit NOLA again!Quick note: check the website out for menu and options. Also, they do not take reservations or call in reservations so it is a walk up on a first come, first serve basis. I would plan for a 30 minute wait (which was perfect for a cigar) and keep an eye out for the text notification to let you know your table is ready. Again, very popular place to get brunch but it's well worth a little waiting.

I was very excited to visit this restaurant after hearing how great it is-there is always a huge line and seems like everyone wants to go! The CBD location was walking distance from our hotel so we went here. However, my visit was disappointing. Everyone who works here seems miserable. Even at 8am when the restaurant had just opened, the workers walked around with RBF and acted defensively to customers. The hostess didn't even make eye contact. When asked if the yogurt we ordered could come out faster for a toddler in our party, we were told "all the food goes to the kitchen so we will see". When I found a live worm in my grape, l informed the waitress and she simply said, "well, it's fresh fruit". I have eaten a lot of fresh fruit and don't find moving worms in my fruit! (I would have expected something like, "oh I'm sorry that you found a worm- sometimes that can happen since it is fresh fruit. I would be happy to get you some new worm-free fruit.") When I asked to not pay for the fruit, the waitress walked away in a huff and said under her breath "it's just fruit" Then, she simply brought us the check while we were still early in the meal and said the fruit was removed from the check. We still hasn't even received the ice coffee my husband ordered and reminded people twice about. Not worth the hype, customer service severely lacking.
