Visiting New Orleans for my birthday, figured I need to find a fine dining spot to celebrate. I did a search and came up wIth Bayona. The duck dish on the menu caught my eye and was like it is a go. I love duck. Ambiance and food was great. They were two servers, I guess a head waiter then another waiter. Head waiter Griffin told us about the nights special, Emily the other waiter took care of everything else. I was very pleased, until I noticed that Griffiin, the head waiter asked every other table, but ours if they wanted bread after they placed their order. We were the only minority couple and not one time did he offer us any. I don’t usually play the race card, but this was very blatant and could not have been an oversight because a couple came in after us and was offered right after they placed their order. I felt a type of a way about that. Definitely killed the vibe after that observation.

Best restaurant in the USA! I've been around, and I'm a foodie. I've been a regular since 1996, and I'm from Virginia! Ms Spicer is famous and deserves it. It's hard to remain excellent for so long, but she has done it. Love, love, love this place! Fabulous servers, hostesses, everyone. I don't know how she does it.

This was a lovely place for a great dinner! We were thrilled with our appetizers, particularly the goat cheese crouton. We all fought over the duck breast entree after trying it! It was the best dish at the table, but the lamb was a close contender. We also have to compliment the waitstaff. They were so knowledgeable about the menu details and offered great suggestions to meet our tastes. We will most definitely be back!

Exquisite restaurant with food that is indescribable. Flavors are amazing. Presentation is amazing. Sweetbreads so good we got an order to go. Every bite is a culinary wonder. Alison and Griffin were servers extraordinaire. Took great care of us at our very long lunch. No wonder Bayona is still here from opening in 1990. They just get better. A must visit. We think this is the best restaurant in NOLA and we’ve been to all the “top” places. Nothing compares.

We came for our honeymoon and my birthday. Griffin, Amanda, and the rest of the staff were friendly, and even let us change tables when the sun was too much for us. They willingly answered any questions we had about the menu. Our food came out wonderfully paced, and, truly, all of it was good. Absolutely worth every penny. We will recommend this restaurant to all of our friends, and can't wait to return next time we're in town.

Ate their for Mothers Day brunch today. Allison and Zach were attentive and incredible servers. And the food!! Lawd! For the money, the fine dining experience is almost unparalleled in NOLA! Cannot recommend highly enough! Try the smoked duck PB&J!

The restaurant is comfortable and nicely decorated. The menu changes daily, not sure what if anything is usually available, you should check their website. My wife had a mixed seafood over pasta dish. Pasta was a bit greasy but not over cooked and otherwise delicious. Bread was an “extra” but excellent - the baguette was a brown bread sourdough and the butter was fresh (watch out for the salt on top). My gently seasoned hanger steak over some soggy tortillas was great right down to the soggy tortillas. There was also a sweet potato purée and another green vegetable (I don’t remember exactly which one). I enjoyed it. I’m not sure what the tortilla added, it was my fault for ordering before I let the server explain the menu. The service team were attentive and friendly, although the young waiter sort of lost me when taking to me with his hands in his pockets. It was a 4 1/2 star experience - I would eat here again.

I’m from Louisiana and this restaurant never disappoints….. It’s so good that I could let the waiter order for me because everything on the menu is fabulous. My lunch was the best I’ve had in NOLA. The outdoor courtyard is marvelous. If you haven’t been to Bayona what are you waiting for?

I just have to sing the high praises of Bayona. Wow! I've lived here my whole life and only the $$$$ restaurants are left, so for my birthday we decided to scratch off Bayona. It was an incredible and delectable experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was calm and everyone was so pleasant at the door.I am in love with my server Sarah. She was an incredible angel the entire night, and it was so good to speak with her — she's clearly passionate about her career and she's so incredibly talented at what she does!My partner and I shared an incredible meal! The brioche buns were a bit dry and crumbly, but they were so redeemed by the cane syrup butter. The mushroom crouton was arguably better than the caviar, but the caviar held such a nostalgic southern flavor you get when you eat like a real authentic creole New Orleans dish.I ate UP that salmon!! Wow she was such a simple dish impeccably done, and I will be singing the high praises of that flavor symphony delivered in this dish because wow I have never been so proud of myself for ordering a main course in my life. The mussel fideo also incredible will great southern flavor flair, but that was my partner's dish so I didn't get to savor as much as I did my salmon. Last photo holds my cake that Bayona so graciously cut and styled for us, but the star in that photo is that Mary Taylor rosé. She was so light and refreshing, a few more glases and I would've ask for a bottle to take home.Thank you a million times over, and all my eternal best to Sarah ?✨

Unassuming entrance to an old French Quarter building. Very classic setting indicates a decent service, which is what we received. The plates were very nicely arranged, and the food was very tasty. The most important thing is the value and the quality of the portions. It seems like this place is consistent, and fulfils the expectations. It is not modern, but very nice ambiance with a great wine selection. Cant go wrong here. Kudos to the Chef Susan Spicer. Make sure to call ahead.
