Always a great place to visit for ice cream... Always a great experience and fast service! The gelato is so delicious and light. The cannoli's are out of this world good. A New Orleans classic for Italian desserts.
After 4 years, we returned to this place for dessert following a wonderful dinner at Katie's Restaurant and Bar. Angelo Brocato did not disappoint. Cannoli there is still made fresh and remarkably tasty. Gelato was also great (our first time trying that here). Prices are very reasonable, excellent service. A must do!

If you love all things sweet Italian, this is your place. Although we didn't indulge in the yummylicious pastries and cookies, I'm pretty darned certain they would be outstanding. Speaking of outstanding, the gelato is to die for. This must be made by a master gelato maker with original recipes, because this is by far the best around (and yes, there IS a technique to making high quality gelato). A wide selection of flavors familiar to the general customer and Italian style aficionado alike. DO NOT miss this experience if you're in the area. If you aren't in the area, then go find it!
Just walk in and you will immediately realize why you are here and it will blow your mind and sugar level. The gelato was delicious, not a bad flavor had by our group. Of course we ordered pastries because....well look at that case!

As a child, I visited the Ursalines location often. I have recently moved close to the current location. I love the history of this place. One of the longest running businesses in the city. Made my first recent visit tonight and my lifelong expectations were actually exceeded! I brought my 13 year old for some gelato. Very friendly service from a young employee that appeared to be a little new. This young man handled our order quickly and was super nice. The product is on par or above my memories of Brocato gelato from years past. Get here. Eat dat. You're welcome.
