This was a really refreshing new gay bar when it opened (nice interior, real glasses!, okay food) but a recent interaction with a bartender was enough to make me not come back. After sitting at the bar for 15-20 minutes with empty drinks on a particularly empty Sunday afternoon a friend and I decided to close out; the bartender (named Cordero according to the receipt) was too busy sitting on his phone to even bother doing that. We had gotten up to leave when he asked if we needed something. My friend went to close his tab (for the one drink we had) and it was $18. The drink order was a *well* double vodka soda. The bartender only brought out one receipt that didn’t indicate anything other than the bill total. Upon asking for an itemized receipt (a very reasonable request met with a nasty attitude) it showed that he had been charged for a double Tito’s and vodka. My friend stated he had asked for well and not Tito’s and the bartender stated there was “nothing he could do.”I’ve worked in bars and restaurants over the years and it’s ridiculous that this bartender wouldn’t rectify his own mistake after the terrible service and nasty attitude. No one is losing any sleep over an $18 bar tab (even though that’s a laughable price for one double Tito’s and soda) but the combination of bad service, nasty attitude, and outright poor customer service is disappointing.American townhouse is beginning to open their upstairs venue for events and I certainly wouldn’t host one here if this is the caliber of bartender and customer service you can expect from them.

Excellent food, Super friendly staff, extremely reasonable prices, and a chill atmosphere. My wife's and my new favorite place to eat. The beer and mixed drinks were great too. We'll definitely be eating (and drinking) here again.

Had a small event and they did the yummiest and most adorable snack board for us. Staff and cocktails are awesome.

I like it. A charming small bar/bistro with outstanding food. Anything fried will come to your table hot enough to classify as a weapon. Friendly food staff. Quick and efficient.

DELICIOUS! My pictures don’t do it justice.Excellent guacamole! Nutty toasted sweet Brussels sprouts! And crispy crunchy fried chicken & waffles with a sweet drizzle of maple syrup — YUM! Cocktails are beautiful and the staff is great. Clean, clean stylish environment.Upstairs is a nice party / event room with a balcony overlooking the street. I would love to have a party up there.I can’t wait to come back!

This place is awesome! We had a happy hour reception with a group of about 30-40 people and couldn’t have picked a better spot. The food is great, and the renovation of this space is superb. Beautiful indoors and out. The entire staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We can’t wait to come back.

One of the better food places with vegetarian options around. I got the cheese quesadilla and was mostly satisfied, although the taste was a bit bland and the guacamole wasn't great. This is a walk up and order kind of place, so don't expect a classic dine in experience with you being greeted as soon as you enter the door. Outdoor patio was nice. Since you're seating yourself, might as well do it in the better part of the restaurant.

Best service ever!!! Food is delicious !! Try the shrimp tacos and the egg rolls!!! ❤️❤️

This was my first time here, but it won’t be my last. The food was amazing & Ryan behind the bar was equally amazing! I tried some of several items on the menu, each one was fantastic!

6-star review! We are visiting from out of town and after a few days of po boys and seafood, we wanted something different. We ordered Take Out because our kids were tired so we sadly didn’t get to enjoy the venue. At our AirBnB we open our boxes, take our first bites, and all is silent except for “Oh WOW!” from each of us, over and over. The food was AMAZING! Everything we ordered was delicious! Everything! The slow heat of the sweet chicken tenders mixed with an amazing dill dipping sauce, the loaded waffle fries that taste like a pile of warm hugs, the savory combination of the island chicken sandwich, and the duck and bacon wontons were gone before I could blink! (Luckily, I grabbed my wonton and ran out of the room before it could be stolen from me!) We WILL be back before our stay in New Orleans is complete.
