I left this review yesterday, but I guess they deleted it. So I'm going to post it again. 6/7/2022The lady at the register at 7:20 PM needs to check her attitude. Now this place is scheduled to close at 9:00 PM. Why don't you have any food almost 2 hours before closing?? This is my second time running into this problem here. There's another Jamaican spot 4 blocks away and I see where all their business comes from.. ???. Step up your game because the attitude isn't jamaican cultureIf this review gets removed just know I'm going to keep posting it until it stays up. Don't do folks dirty and think they will keep quiet about it.

Inside the pythian market food hall. The portion sizes were big for the price point. I had the Curry chicken, mac & cheese, and plantains. Everything was good. My wife had the jerk chicken, plantains, and rice & peas. She enjoyed it all but said the rice & peas could be better. Standard solid Jamaican food, but great to have it in the downtown location so close to all the hotels & French Quarter

Stopped there for dinner before a show at the Maple Leaf. All the other local restaurants were closed, so we took a shot at this restaurant. Not a big fan of Jamaican food, but the food was OK. My wife's Jerk Pork Ribs were quite good an tender. My Brown Stew Chicken was tasty but very salty. All in all, glad they were open as we were visiting and need a bite before the show.

Curry Goat was just not very flavorful - below average. The meat was tender but the gravy was just lacking. Peas and rice was tasty though. The portion was very good.I’d try the oxtails next time.

The oxtail was truly cooked to perfection. Fall of the bone soft, with some of the best sauce I've had in a long time. The plantains as well as the cabbage were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back!!!

Being that I heard about the cheesy mac offered here, I got me a little taste of it too. I've been to Jamaica, dated one or two (who were chefs) and found this lil spot to be a nice treat. Jerk sauce was a nice blending of spices - not too hot, not too sweet.

I’m from Texas, and was visiting New Orleans. I was walking and saw the Jamaican flags through the window. The food was authentic, very flavorful and the amount that was given was all FANTASTIC! The ladies was very friendly and helpful. I wish that I had more time to go back and get some more food. Thank you for the pan-seared salmon, rice with peas, and plantains. Sorry for not having a picture but it smelled so good that I forgot!

The food was amazing. I Love ox tails! We were there late so they were out of potatoes and mac and cheese so I don't remember what my sides were but they were [email protected]

love the oxtail and gravy. The collards were really good today. The curry chicken had wonderful flavor as well! You get wonderful servings so I had to put some on a plate.

Inside a Food-hall. Oxtail was delicious, and fell off the bone. The rice and beans was ok, would try a different side next time. Lastly the Mac and cheese was good. Other sides available.
