Went there just the other day and the food was so amazing, The stuffed potato was so incredible, idk what that thing is stuffed with but it brought me back to my childhood. I also tried the gumbo which was out of this world amazing. Last but not least my waitress Khloe was so helpful and sweet, she really made my experience all the more worthwhile.
I was there tonight. The pond the ducks live in is horrible condition. Dirty diaper in pond, which looked like it was there for awhile. DO NOT EAT THE GUMBO IT WAS AWFUL! You can get a better tasting GUMBO at Golden Wok. The shrimp & catfish nugget were decent. The music was good. I should have ordered off the menu. There will not be a next time. VERY DISAPPOINTED..
We don't live in Cajun Country so we looked forward to sampling some good cajun cuisine during our short stay in New Iberia. A local reccomended Landry's. It was Friday, so they had their buffet. It was the perfect opportunity to get a great selection of really good cajun food. I won't try to spell any of the things I ate, because I will butcher the names. But the staff was incredibly friendly and explained all of the options to me. The cajun music was a bonus. We were thrilled with our experience.
So I stopped in to Landry's after getting a recommendation from a local in a neighboring town. I got one person who told me that location wasn't their best one and the other one told me it should be fine.I stopped in and they were not busy. Thankfully. It looks a little rundown for sure but oh my God the food was good. Got the seafood platter. It was a small mountain of food for a pretty reasonable price considering. Didn't quite know what to expect but I got a small cup of seafood gumbo that was pretty good to start off.The main meal consisted of one very large filet of catfish, a handful of butterflied shrimp, and finally they had fried crawfish tails. The breading is pretty mellow, not very heavily seasoned. I was kind of hoping for a little bit more but it still had a very good buttery flavor. And each table was Tabasco sauce and Tony sacheries was there when I needed it. Got the stuffed potato which is like a twice baked potato that was excellent as well. The roll that was provided was even damned good crunchy outside soft inside. Hard to replicate texture.I got to say I'm impressed. I ate a lot of places in my job and the locals are luckily to have this place as an option. I highly recommend it.
The food was excellent. The music was entertaining and the staff was friendly.
Well after the changing of cold to the delicious hot buffet and great service by this real sweet waitress it was an amazing night. Going back whenever I come to their town again. ?
Omg!! Delish!! Cooked to order. Fresh and hot. I will return for weekend seafood buffet for fried fish on bone.
Great cajun style food on the buffet. Black Friday lunch with a very large group of family leaving town. Service was excellent for such a large gathering.
Our car clubs scheduled a private lunch here. Everything was ready when we arrived and delicious. We had a buffet with a mix of entrees and sides. The staff was friendly and readily available if needed. Check out was quick and easy.
Ordered the crawfish bisque the roux was burnt. Definitely not the Landry's I am used to eating
