I visited during lunch. There were no signs and after the working waiter made eye contact with me and still waiting for a few minutes I seated myself. The were three small tables being served. Awkward. Not a huge deal to me. I dont expect five star service from a 3 star resteraunt. Menu was typical american version of mexican food. Boring. Atmosphere was Kitschy and cluttered. Cleanliness passable.I kept it simple and ordered the 11 dollar steak burrito. Chips and salsa were meh. Salsa tasted like it came in gallon buckets and chips were of the grainy corn heated up under a lamp. Once again probably came in huge sacks and designed to keep for long periods.Food arrived promptly and after it hit the table I found out why. Here's what 11 burrito at el mariachi will get you. A dry un grilled tortilla and some over seasoned over salted grilled stew meat. Nothing else. I honestly thought it was a prank. After reading other reviews It may very well be. My receipt confirmed that my order had been recieved correctly and I was charged accordingly. A two dollar quesadilla from taco bell honestly would have been better.Sadly I wont be returning. Why is it hard to get just a decent taco in this town?
Most things are tasty. Love the spicy burrito. Don't care for the rice.
The food was good and drinks were strong!
We love the beef, chicken and shrimp fajitas at El Mariachi! Service is always quick and the food is so good! The owner always stops by our table to see if we are enjoying our food. We love coming here for special occasions as well!
The food was so good the staff was so nice
1. if a restaurant doesn't have lots of cars in the lot, don't eat there. Husband wanted to go anyway. Next time I'll stand firm on that because the locals know where to go. 2. Language barrier. Their English is not that great, they understood me but I didn't understand them. Caused confusion with menu items. 3 The food: my own enchiladas and quesadillas are way better. My food was cold, too! My guacamole tasted good even though there was a chunk of tomato so big I had to cut it up. Guac also contained the black stringy stuff normally thrown away. It seems almost like they didn't care what they served. Ok , The icing on the cake. I went to the restroom while waiting for my food. When I got back to table, my food was cold and hubby said it had only been there a couple of minutes. Ok, I started eating, thought I should take a pic of this mess, cant find my phone! I'd left it in the restroom!. I ran back and it was gone! Hubby started calling it but we didn't hear it ring. I went to management and reported my phone stolen from restroom. My seat gave me a view of the route diners have to take to get to the restroom and I had not seen anyone go in there since I had. Management said relax we'll find your phone, it's here. (ya, think?) He got up and walked to the back and then my hubby went to the restroom ( yes indeed) My phone was right back where I'd put it on top of the TP holder! Needless to say, I'll never go back there again...ever. Oh, the chips and salsa appetizer was good.
The margaritas were excellent!!
Deliciousness! One of my favorite places. Great service, great food. And those margaritas- oh my.
Current update as of 8/8/21. Apparently this restaurant undergone some major changes since most of these posts were submitted. I ordered fish tacos, got i think it was chicken. Definitely not fish. No cheese, no lettuce, no NOTHING and was charged 22 buck's because they charged extra for those things.my tacos had maybe 5 pieces of chicken cut into in each about half an inch square.Horrible
It is a great place. Staff is friendly and attentive.
