The one star is the speed with which service was received. 4 or 5 wait staff behind counter just talking and doing what ever. Appetizers are meant to be served before the meal not with the meal. After waiting 45 mins...Order arrived. Regular fried shrimp dinner and 2 piece fried chicken, oh and fried mushrooms app. I will give the food 4 stars.
Drove 15 miles just to go get chicken. Problem one they went up on their prices by 50%. I'm okay with that sorta. Item that was 8.99 is no 12.99 that's a little overpriced especially when I drive 15 miles one way just to go eat there. Second the meal was so spicy that my granddaughter and I could not even eat what we bought. Then when we called to ask if they'd given us spicy did a regular they said it's all the same. And that there's nothing they can do about it. Well so much for returning customers, one you're not even willing to do a little something when they tell you that your food is over-spiced. I guess I'll stick to driving one mile to Popeyes instead of 15 miles Duffy's anymore.
Got there before 8pm, ordered ordered by 8:05. Only 2 coupled in place. At 8:35 noticed the couple that came after me had thier order. Now only 3 couples in place. After noticing that every drive thru vehicle and every pickups were going out at a quick pace, I ask about our order told it was almost ready. at 8:45 we still didn't have our order. We left
Cute little diner with 50's-60's flair. Food is good, your average comfort food at a great price. We went for lunch, and could be seated immediately. I ordered a cheeseburger and a side salad. The burger was good, but the salad was just lettuce and chopped tomatoes in a small bowl. Service was a little slow, but servers were very busy. Didn't take long for food to come out. Drink refills were easy to get. But ended up having to go up to the register to pay our bill because we couldn't get our waitress back to the table. Easy parking and good food at a good price in the tiny town of New Iberia.
We found Duffy's our first day in New Iberia because it was the first place we saw that was open. The Special was a half catfish - half shrimp basket. Five of the six of us ordered it. The shrimp was delicious and the catfish was perfectly cooked. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Would definitely return.
Ordered the club sandwich and fried pickles. Couldn't eat them all in one sitting because there was an abundant amount of food. Well worth the price.
.I use to love going to Duffys. Now it’s like they don’t even care about the customers. This order I have right now is pathetic. My onions rings are hard and burnt. The fish tasted like it was very old it was very cold and rubbery. When I called to tell them about it the MANAGER expected me to drive all the way back from home to get another order or a refund. They have lost me as a customer.
I've eaten there since it opened. The food was horrible, taste and it was cold.. my elderly parents were told they ordered the wrong thing we I know they didnt.. service was terrible . I've never ever in all the years its been open had service like that.. the prices are extremely high . I never minded but I refuse to pay that much for horrible food and worse service.
Really good fried chicken, and prices are cheap
Long wait, but good food. And so many choices. The fried pork chops are on top of my list next time.
