We loved the food here! Portions are big fresh and very delicious! Small building but big on taste!
Found this place by chance (courtesy of Google Maps) when we were in New Iberia to visit the McIlhenny factory. We went to quite a few creole places in New Orleans, including some fairly high-end spots. Bon Creole was head and shoulders above them all. Just incredibly tasty. And with generous portions at very reasonable prices. My perhaps one small complaint was it took quite a while to prepare our order - don't recall exactly but must've been at least half an hour. Worth the wait though - just don't go if you're in a hurry.
So glad we stopped by for lunch! I had the best crawfish po-boy I have ever eaten! It was a the half size and it satisfied my hunger! Deb had the roast beef po-boy and she enjoyed it too. We ordered a plate of red beans and rice with sausage to eat later for dinner. That too was wonderful, the sausage had a nice flavor and just the right spices. Definitely a must visit if in the area.
I had no background info other than a rating from Google and honestly it looked a little sketch from the outside. This place is not in a normal looking restaurant building and not in a location you'd think for a restaurant. I am so glad I took a leap and gave it a try. The inside is very clean even the bathrooms. The Po-Boys are huge and outstanding. From the crusty French bread to the plentiful amount of protein. There is no skimping on anything. Simple traditional seafood Po-Boys. Catfish, shrimp, crawfish, oyster and combo. Six inches or twelve with lettuce, tomato and a remoulade sauce. Simply delicious nothing complicated and priced well. I will be back.
This is where the locals love to come and eat or take away. Good quality food. Famous for its shrimp P.O. boy. This kind of location serves In styrofoam and plastic, but if you you’re looking for no frills good quality food, it’s a safe bet.
Really great po-boys but staff is not that friendly. The counter person taking our order seemed annoyed because we were taking a while to figure out what we wanted to order. Still recommend due to great shrimp po-boy.
The boss and I wanted some good Cajun food. We Google searched it and up popped Bon Creole. It should be named "the bomb" Creole. Honestly this is the best food for a great price and it's in a wonderful location there's a lot of beautiful things in here it is very southern. They give you so much food at a really great price. It is off the beaten path but man is it worth it I would definitely recommend this I give it an A+ Plus.
Po'boys are huge and well worth the money and trip
